I have now permanently installed the cat 5 cable and router upstairs :-) I had to run it into the loft, down the chimney, under the floor and into the office. Better then the trip hazard of it running down the stairs.

Here are a few pics of the setup, incase you ever wanted to know.

Well we try our best to keep them in, but each day they get bigger and manage to jump out.

We build a taller wall, and they still get out.

One cool thing, the little girl (the one who looks just like her mum), will roll over if you tickle her head - much cuteness.

I am gonna go and put them all back in their nest.
 
Ok, an update on the interactive stuff.

I have a box of tricks here that will control stuff when an SMS is received. So for a laugh I am gonna get a 99p sim and setup a toy that activates when it gets an sms.

I don't know what kind of toy yet, but as soon as I have something you guys can test it out.

There won't be any sneaky premium rate sms's or anything like that. You will be texting a box with a bog standard asda mobile sim in it.
 
Cam 2 is down again. We may be expanding their area to the full room, so may need a remote control kitten finder contraption over TCP/IP. I have more gadgets here to do that too :-)
 
It was going to be over the internet, I have a queing system done, but no time for coding the firmware to do cool stuff.

So in the meantime, txt the number and toy will do it's thing. I am thinking of a thing on a string that moves up and down when activated.

They really will be hi-tech cats bought up with loads of awesome tech :-)

Sad to think they will be off to new homes in a few weeks.
 
Well the only thing I can do is have a couple of cams in their "room". They are currently in the lounge.

They want to hang out downstairs with us, rather than be kept alone upstairs.

Now we have to find homes for them...

Anyone in Sussex (East) want to give a home to a famous kitten or 2 or even all 3?
