i just got dead space 2 but i'm so disappointed

I'm good thanks Gareth! I don't enjoy racing games so I'll leave you with dirt 3 :p anything you looking forward to?

I'm going to give the Witcher another go and hopefully get on to the Witcher 2, enjoying it?

Ah good old Sonic games :p Nice weather last few days in Leicester (in Yorkshire atm) and I've spent all my time inside playing Football Manager :p
im looking forward to Duke Nukem Forever and Carmageddon: Reincarnation (next year)

yeah im enjoying the Witcher 2, but performances slow on max settings and seems it doesn't like cf....

i love Sonic games , been playing the SEGA Mega Drive Classics :D

yeah the weather has been nice but it been to hot to stay out for long time..

yeah it looks i great camera, well it better be for the price, :D

I played the demo version and I did not like. Maybe in the final version will be better :)
i heard they kept it like the original one? which im glad they have. if they changed it people would moan saying why didn't they keep it has the original ones.
You play the Witcher 2? Cool. If you can do about this video. To make CF work in Witcher 2 need to install 11.5b drivers
http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/AMDCatalyst115ahotfix.aspx (and turn off UberSampling for good FPS) :)
i have 11.5b installed but on single gpu i get about 21fps with everything on max, with CF (3 gpus) i get the same 21fps....

yeah i'll do a video when i get the camera.
This was my first game for my SEGA. Never forget the startup screen with the voice SEEEGAAA. It looked ubercool :D
:D sega should remake the old classics

Gareth how loud is your PC and where abouts do you have it in the room you play games in? I just can't get my head round how potentially loud a 6990 + 6970 might be when being stressed :D

the pc is under the window...

Hi Gareth,

I was wondering if you have heard of a charity called Special Effect?

They are based around Oxford and use technology to allow people much more disabled than yourself to play the latest games, use a computer, basically control their homes with just their eyes.

My girlfriend has been fundraising for them for a number of years (he freinds family run the charity) and they put a lot of focus on gaming.

I have had the chance to have a go with their kit and it really is very good.

Their website is http://www.specialeffect.org.uk/pages/about.htm and the chap you who runs it all is called Mick (http://www.facebook.com/search.php?q=mick+donegan&init=quick&tas=0.629833568684114#!/mick.donegan)

I'm not sure if it is your kind of thing but he may be able to add some weight to your petition.

Any questions, give me a shout.

Cheers

Andy

P.S i have emailed this to you in case you miss it.
Hi mate

Yeah i have been talking to Special Effect for awhile now, they are great tbh. They have been modding a controller for me to help me game better, hopefully i should get on friday.

hows the new controller treating you gaz? Made gaming better overall?
the first controller has been very helpful but it has bugs . and missing the L3/R3 buttons.

so they have made another one which as more features/buttons and better analog sticks and hopefully won't have the bug.. i should get it on friday and i'll post a pic.

Looks pretty evil...

It reminds me of the old third party 16 bit controllers with rapid fire and 40 buttons.

It's a shame there isn't a company who can make a case from scratch.

Do you remember the Ridge Racer 4 controller? Surely if campanies can make a controller for one game (that never sell well) they can make one for people who game with their face.....

yeah a company should be able to make a controller from scratch for disability people....

the controller i have has the rapid fire feature, also Remap, Toggle, Turbo, and Multiple Buttons features but Multiple Buttons doesn't seem to work.

yesterday (thursday) specialeffects Vice Predident Johnny Minkley from Eurogamer TV who is also the Radio 1's 'Games Guru' came to do some filming on how i game and how specialeffect as help me game easyer ect....

btw hopefully i'll be getting the new controller soon.. as evil controllers said they've sorted it. it's be back and forth many times haha

gareth170 - how goes the gaming?
it's going good, i been playing BF3 and F1 2011 a lot recently and i bought Cities XL 2012 game which seems good.
Nice to see an update from you Gareth :) I hope your keeping well and gaming as good as ever !.

Keep us posted on when that video goes up, I'd like to watch it.
yep when i told, i will post the link here.

guess what my pc had to play up when they came, typical!!! haha.

oh i see gareth you switched from amd 1090t to bulldozer then to to Intel sandy bridge ? notice any difference ?
well going from amd 1090t to bulldozer 8150 was a downgrade even in gaming as i seen lower fps clock for clock, the 8150 needed to clocked atleast 500-600mhz to match the 1090t. going from a 1090t / 8150 to a 2700k gave a really good boost even at stock

a small update..

finally specialeffect as received my new controller from evil controllers. a guy from specialeffect as had a quick look at it and it seems that the thumb sticks buttons are done now so they are remappable also.. he haven't tested the other features yet. but i guess he is posting it to me today.

update

...

i have received the controller ^^ back, and it seems it's working perfectly!!!. I've gamed for about 2 hours and theres no sign of the bug... I'm really loving it, haha. It's making gaming better and easier, and able to play a lot more games...

:D:D

yeah it's a very good pad with nice features, like:

1. Remap buttons (assign any button to a "blank" button. Ideal for constantly changing button layouts in upcoming games)
2. Toggle (tap the button and it will imitate a press and hold)
3. Rapid (press and hold the button and it will imitate rapid presses)
4. Thumb-stick Swap (With a slide switch, you can make the two thumbsticks switch entirely (southpaw) or you can even switch X or Y axis on each stick for Legacy southpaw.)
5. adjustable sensitivity analog sticks
ect

The problem with hardware remapping is that you need to switch it for every game can you do this by yourself Gareth or do you need help. I can't hardware remap on my own.
i can do it myself...

they setted it up so all i have to do is hold down the back button for 3 seconds then tap a blank button (black button or a analog stick button) then tap whatever button i want it to be example B then tap back button then done

easy to do with my chin.
