i just got dead space 2 but i'm so disappointed

Interestingly I recently wrote a blog about these kind of issues, being physically disabled myself but not in any serious way. Anybody here who has an investment in these issues should probably read it and hopefull tell me what you think.

I really hope EA listen and sort all this out because with increasingly complex games it's only going to get worse.
Fair play to Gareth for managing to bring this problem to the press so that we can finally have some discussion.

I've signed the petition and while internet petition don't have the best success rate, I think publishers will take this more seriously than a bunch of people hoping for a Shenmue 3.
 
My company already contribute to a charity who work with individuals who are disabled who want to express themselves and play games despite the various complications involved. They create systems that are tailored to the individuals needs and it's extremely rewarding to see it pay off.

Been reading this since the thread started, don't have much to add but may as well show my support and sign. This is an issue that really shouldn't arise in nowadays, I know its completely different but even being a leftie can cause enough problems with not being able to customise controls sometimes.

Really big kudos to you Gareth and small well done to the rest of ocuk for doing more than just moan about crappy console ports all the time :p

That's a great charity you linked and it's good that this whole thing has set more focus on the problem. Now all we need is for the developers to help as well!

And can i just say, it's not just EA that needs to listen to this petition, every gaming company across the globe needs to pay attention to this petition.

What a superb, enlightening thread :)

I hope the original issue is addressed with the same rigour as you commit to your everyday lifestyle. You are a very inspirational individual and it's great to have people of such values as a part of this online community.

i signed it too

i put in the comment, fully customisable controls remapping should be in ALL games. i shouldn't need to worryed about wasting money if i buy a game, to find that i can't play it..
