I just turned 40 years old

I think 30 is the point where time/relativity starts to change - up to 30 you still think you've got loads of time to do things as you're still young and time seems to last forever, but once you hit 30 times seems to just disappear so rapidly you'll have zero idea where it went and before you know it you're 40 and all those things you wanted to do whilst you felt young are distance memories as your body starts to fail and the rate at which life just flies by seems to increase faster and faster with every passing year until you suddenly realise it's over, you've taken too long and now you just have wait for the sweet release of death to ease your passage into the next phase of existence.

Oh and Happy Birthday BTW :D

Turned 41 on Friday. Physically feel exactly the same as 20 years ago. Still waiting for this decay I keep hearing about. Mind you, gym 3 times a week and two swimming sessions a week helps.

Only difference, I cannot eat the shovels full of garbage I used to. My usual Friday night meal in my 20s and early 30s were a bottle of 2L Irn Bru, a Biryani and a pack of Oreas. If I dare try that today I will be in bed all weekend.

Ever noticed how say 12 to 30-ish felt like eternity then it seems to feel it fast forwards after 30... Heck, I once remember school life seemed to feel like eternity. 5 - 16.

Happy belated birthday wishes, I hit this milestone last year.

Can't say I feel any different and feel physically as fit as I was in my 20s, play a fair bit of golf though so quite a lot of walking and try to eat generally pretty good - might be helping to stave off any rapid decline.

But - got a lot less hair and now embracing the semi baldness.

You guys are killing me....

But, don't forget the more obvious problems: weak bladder, needing to sit a lot more often, taking naps, taking more and more meds, hurting in places you never thought about before and one of the worst ones would be farting at all odd hours (flatulence); never ending list of joy.

Still feel 25 regardless of how old i get.

i did'nt feel any different hitting 40 in 2010, even now at 51 i pretty much still feel like i'm 25-30 but with a weaker lower back. so now i do lower back stretches, bridges etc. it did feel weird hitting 50, like impending doom, i dunno hard to explain. weight is going on no matter how much i work out or little i eat, that'll be the booze then so i need to cut that off.

Happy Birthday! :)
