Sorry for the thread bump, but I hope Craig’s alright. He hasn’t posted since this thread 6 months ago. He was a regular. I miss his posts in now eating.
Craig, if you’ve been lurking, are you ok?

You know what's a good feeling? When you have an hospital appointment and two nurses, on two separate occasions, both ask you if your date of birth is correct because you look way younger than you are. That made my ******* day.![]()

Just doing this now. After running 3-4 times a week for the last few years I'm realising the tightness I now have in certain areas. Starting a stretching routine now and thinking about Yoga for the new year. Both my folks swear by it.46 and I'm knackered, start yoga right now, thank me later.

I tried Yoga and some moves just brought on Nausea. I went to a more brain training class, creative writing.I think yoga is a good shout and I’m going to explore that. The main ageing issue for me is aches and pains and loss of suppleness. Nowhere near as bendy as I used to be and stuff just aches more.
Damn sorry to hear that. Do you know what specifically caused it? I've personally always committed to only doing relatively short runs due to the toll it can take long term, so stick to max 10km and usually 5km. Doing nothing isn't really an option and nor is going full out so there needs to be a happy balance somewhere.I'm now in a wheelchair because of running
I’ve dropped 8kgs since middle of the year and have another 16kgs to go to get to my goal. I am 6ft and 54 but have asthma and an immune disorder that is controlled with steroids making weight gain a work of moments and weight loss a real challenge. Think yoga would be helpful for me.I tried Yoga and some moves just brought on Nausea. I went to a more brain training class, creative writing.
Maybe at 69 it is a bit late to start Yoga? I am still 1.8m and 70kg though, not running to fat yet.

So true! When you’re young, if you drop a quarter you pick it up, but when you’re old you think, ‘do I really need 25 cents?’
