I met a Romanian online and she comes to me!

Well, he has over 1000 posts to his credit, and was around earlier today, so he is still 'active'!

Although we have seen a picture of 'her, I don't think we have ever seen one of 'him', have we?

Not that it should make any difference at all, but on reading some of his posts, I rather get the impression that English may not be his first language.

Let's just hope he posts another 'update' on here soon anyway! :)
 
I keep reading it as Romulan - the star trek baddies....

She is very attractive, but im sorry this is a Scam and some kind of UK citizenship fastone. Enjoy all the sex but i think you can go to prison for being willingly involved.

However, when I was travelling round Europe and went to Romania, I found that they are a very proud nation, and proud people as a whole. When you visit anyone they insist on paying for everything and are quite honourable people, similar to the Japanese.

Therefore, there is no chance on Earth that a genuine Romanian would ever let someone pay for their airfare and expenses, they are passionate about keeping "face" so to speak, and normal Romanians just would NOT let someone pay in this manner.

If this is NOT a troll, (if it is then its quality) then I am afraid its got scam written all over it.

However, what evidence does the OP have that she IS even Romanian?

Where does she come from? Where do her family come from?

If your just met with standard answers like Bucharest for everything, alarm bells would be a-ringing off their hooks.

I think this is utter madness actually.

It doesn't have to be a scam and the girl may simply not be able to afford the air fare!

About 9 years ago, I got chatting on the net to a lady in Russia - she was a lecturer in English at Chelyabinsk University, South Urals.

Her wage at the time was only about $100.00 per month, supplemented by private tuition which was still a pitance, so there was no way she could afford the flight costs here and instead wanted me to go out there to see her after a few months of chatting, web cam chats and telephone calls.

As I work for myself, I couldn't spare the time off so I sent her the money for a flight here and she duly turned up, so it's not always a scam! I had quite a few holidays in Russia which was great experience as I saw the real Russia out where she lived.

We became very good friends and still keep in contact today - so it's quite possible for it not to be a scam!
