Hi guys i could really do with some help with my first build. i really want to build a future proof gaming pc but i only have 700 pounds. so if anybody could recommend the parts i need i would be very grateful.

:)ANY HELP IS MUCH APPRECIATED:)

Possibly the wrong forum pal.

Future proof won't really be possible for 700 pictures of HRH, but you may well be able to get yourself a 2500K (decent overclocker, great all-round performer) and something like a 6870 for that money, in which case you'll be running games at a healthy framerate at a *x1080 resolution.

i'd either ask a mod to move this thread to general hardware or make a new thread over there and ask the mods to delete this one because thats where all the top builders hang out

Do you have any components from an existing PC you can reuse?
Sata hdd, dvd drive, Psu, KB and mouse, monitor, etc,.

Sorry its my first post on here, didnt really know what i was doing.
Yeah i have a 4 year old desktop that i can canabalise for parts, there is a 1 tb hard drive in it and i can use the dvd drive, but the psu wont be powerful enough if i had a powerful graphics card?

You can probably scrounge on the components a bit. But these are good quality components.

Choices for GPU. 660ti / 7850 / 7870 / 7950. Look up reviews of each, it also depends if you prefer NVIDIA or AMD. For me, no difference.
