I/O shield doesn't line up, what do I do?

Just a word of warning, I notice in the photo above you appear to have placed the mobo on the OUTSIDE of an antistatic bag, this is widely regarded as a very bad idea although I think the risk is fairly minimal.

I don't see the problem ? If it works it works ? If you can connect the cables through the i/o shield what's the deal?

Sure it might not look neat, but meh, worth RMA-ing for? Ridiculous imho...

I wouldn't think that warrants an RMA to be honest matey, the motherboard is screwed down to a flat surface in your case thus it should bend the board straight,i would be more inclined to thinking it was a problem with the case itself than the motherboard..

Why accept an inferior product? I doubt that sort of bending is particularly good for the PCB traces.

It doesn't do anything to PCB, it doesn't have to be straight at all and you can bend them slightly as well. As long as you don't bend it so much that something pops out of it or it cracks there is no problem.

I don't think they will replace it tbh.
Back when I worked in repair centre and dealt with RMAs if something like that came, I'd test it and then sent it back if it worked. They can charge you for sending working product to test as well so don't get suprised if they tell you to pay 10-25quid for testing and to cover costs to send it back ; ).
