I think i just lost my licence

Not sure why anyone bothered to post flaming Malt for his OP.
To me it was clear that he was angry and disappointed with himself and wanted to get it off his chest. He also humbled himself by accepting all responsiblity and NOT trying to apportion blame eslewhere.
Malt, glad you feel you've learned a lesson mate.
I bet when we all stop to think there's not many on here who haven't lost someone they know in a RTA. I have and i find it abhorent that the revheads on these boards brag about their excessive speeds and road antics. Kill yourselves by all means...but leave everyone else out of it.
Yes, we've all made that kind of mistake....few learn from them though.
The OP, 4 years down the line has......good for him.

I got caught speeding, again the other week!! One of those vans parked by the side of the road! About the 4th time in 20+ years. Waiting for the 3 points and £60 fine.

Thing is, i do speed all of the time!! I never seem to get anywhere quick enough for me! Stupid i know. Got to try and calm down a bit while on the road!

Isn't it against the law to use cruise control on a Motorway in Belgium?
I remember reading that in the UK press and thinking exactly what Jez thought :p

As far as I know it only applies to one stretch of motorway, the E19 between Brussels and Antwerp.
It's a notoriously busy stretch of road, and they're currently building a railway line down the middle.
Outside Mechelen, when joining the motorway you actually join in the fast lane..

So what offence did you get convicted for? Heads up to you mate at least you owned up to your mistake! I see a lot of people driving like d*cks every day.

CD10 - Driving without due care and attention. £220 quid fine and 6 points. The court process was a nightmare though.
I missed 2 court dates as they had sent my documents to the wrong (un-occupied) address.
The officer has copied down my address details (and name!) incorrectly.
I just missed out having a warrant out for my arrest (by less than 24 hours), as the third incorrectly addressed summons was re-directed by my newly moved in neighbour.

This meant I was never actually summoned in time legally for the offence. However apparently "this does not matter" - direct quote from the magistrate.

The problems with that part of the process just make it that much more trying.
