I Want This So Badly - For The Racers

Is there a point of a 900 degree turning circle?

Depends what you play. Im presuming it like the DFP where you can set a maximum lock to your choice. There are sims out there that will use the full 900 degrees, but they dont really appear on our market.

I want it. Been looking for a reasonably priced clutch-equipped wheel for a while now. Looks great :)

Lot of kit for 200 quid, don't forget that!

I heard it was going to be a lil more than 200.. probably close to 300 .. not sure, anyone got any links for this release??

Found something...

link

$300 dollars which is near £180.. defo getting a preorder on this :)

I was going to post a new topic but found this in the search, not sure how I missed it the first time around

The release date has been set for October for Europe on this so hopefully it won't be too long of a wait. I made my own clutch pedal by sawing in half an old Logitech Racing Force wheel and grafting it to the side of my Momo pedals, works well in GPL and GT Legends

I also used FFshifter which can be found at Racesimcentral forums which converts a force feedback joystick into a gear shifter. Hopefully with this coming out I can drop both and enjoy some proper racing, can't wait to get my hands on it :D

I mailed overclockers about pre-ordering one of these and haven't yet heard a reply. But definitely I'm gonna get one of these one way or the other :D £200 or no! (Although its $200 US so I'd be surprised if it was £200, probably more likely £130-150)

I also suggested this wheel here and was informed that someone would speak to Logitech soon :)

With this sort of kit i wouldnt be suprised if there was some learner driving sims coming out for it :!

For those prices, you can practically fund your driving licence!

I've spent over £300 on my wheel + clutch + gearstick, and i'll have no problem in buying this when it comes out. I've spent far more on my car but this is as fun to me, so why not enjoy it?

Best advice on this thread :)

C'mon, 200 quid for a wheel?

More like the "Stupidest advice on this thread"

I assume your going to insure this 'banger' - after all, you'd have to get it from the seller to the field. So thats £500, roughly. Then, assuming you've thoroughly knackered it from all your 'donuts' and 'phat burnouts' you've then got to hire a trailer (£100) and pay a scrappy (£50) to take it away.

That an expensive afternoon, coming it at £850.

Just saw it on the US Logitech webby for $300 Im afraid - so this wont be a cheap purchase...

Would you still be able to use this as a normal wheel for games (say if you didnt wanna use the clutch or something?). Im very tempted by it as I havent got a wheel, butwould only wanna spend £150 max for it...

ps3ud0

Its retail price is actually looking more like $250 from some places that have it listed allready, could be a good chance it might be around the £150 mark :)

Sim racing is increasing in stature and is breaking free of the gaming tag.

Technology is taking the building of tracks and the development of car physics to a never before seen level. Check out iRacing

Real racing teams use simulators and many drivers now claim that using simulations help them to learn tracks and keep their racing reactions sharp. Dale Earnhardt Jr even has his own league - which features several other Nascar drivers, banging doors against some of the world's best sim racers.

For many sim racers it's a serious a hobby which deserves (and requires) serious equipment.
