i34 attendance thread

Nah you didn't, we play three matches (won the first by default) and the first two were good fun. We lost them but it was a lot closer. playing wotr on turbine was a bit cruel, but I guess that's what you get for not practising as a team and for not knowing the map well :/

That link for the event crashes my PC lol, so can't check. Anyone tell me whereabouts it is? I'm guessing London, ******* cockneys.

Stoneleigh Park: http://i34.multiplay.co.uk/about/venue/

For the first time in eight years the i-Series is moving it’s venue to the massive Stoneleigh Park, smack bang in the heart of England and one of the most accessible locations available for events of this size. Mere minutes from the M40, Stoneleigh Park is centrally located and more accessible for the vast majority of people. Airports and train stations are close by and we’re even looking into coaches direct to the venue from major cities across the UK.

The site itself is a vast complex where every need is catered for. An on-site hotel and hostel has up to 500 beds ready for those who like a little more comfort to their LAN experience. Naturally most people will prefer to bring their own tent so our camping area is bigger than our previous site by a long way. Tent City at i34 will be one large area, giving that festival atmosphere whilst also having enough room for people to be spread out and not in each others way.
We are using the two largest halls for the event - hosting the exhibition and finals arena in one, and the LAN in another giant room. Gone are the days of a fragmented event where people are in every nook and cranny - say hello to being able to hurl abuse at whoever just fragged you - wherever they are!

There are cash machines available (no more driving out to a supermarket just for cash!) and of course the culinary choice available will be varied and of a high standard, suiting all tastes and preferences. A 500-seater restaurant will act as the hub for most people with a superb catering team operated by Stoneleigh whilst other choices will be available both on-site and in the local area. You will probably never have to leave the site at all over the weekend as everything is to hand.
If you drive to the LAN then you can rest assured that your car is safe and secure as an indoor, security controlled car-park will be used for the entire event. True convenience awaits as the car park, Tent City and the event itself are all located next to each other, making your life that much easier and giving you more time to enjoy the event!
We also have our own 100Mbit pipe for all your web and Internet needs - provided by Multiplay to ensure the highest quality possible!

Won't be going

The old venue was great in terms of getting there and how close it was

Can't be bothered with Coventry though :(

Just payed for me ticket, me n vipes will be attending. Look out RTS section, here i come! (not that i even play rts... should be a laugh :D)

So bummed i didn't get to goto i33, all my friends came back with awesome stories and one of them won an intel extreme quad core for some marketing thing for gh3.

But one of the joys was that i live so close to newbury, driving there will be a pain if i can get tickets to a future event, i34 is not as likely but most probably i36.

Forgive my ignorance about the i series, but I've been curious about them but never asked questions. I'm guessing that its just a large lan party. From what I've read in this thread, do you sit roughly divided into games? As if so, what if you want to change to a different game?

Me and my friends aren't 'hardcore' gamers by any stretch of the word, we just play for fun. Whats the skill level of the people who turn up to these events? I'm guessing there's a fair few who play way too much ;)

Will be away on holiday, but plans for i35. Will be getting a box with around 8-10 other people. if anyone plays CSS mid-high skill and is looking for a team all the way at i35 :P PM me.
