i34 attendance thread

That venue looks a lot better. I've not been for a few years (i21 or something) and even then it was getting cramped.

afraid £80 is a bit dear for me this time :),
not been hearing good things about ixx events for a couple of years now, attracting a new type of crowd maybe? or were just getting old ><
One i went to was i30, which was cool if a bit chlostraphobic

Sadly yes, the atmosphere has changed a bit - there's been a huge rise in the numbers of underage drinkers and various incidents relating to the overconsumption of alcohol. Sadly, the i-series also had it's first thefts of computer equipment last year.

Hopefully Multiplay can put some measure in effect to curb the problems of attendees drinking beyond their capacity, I must say I'm waiting to see whether they can sort it out before I attend another i-series. I'm also not pleased they've changed the location of the event, Newbury was perfect for me :(

Out of curiosity, do you get reimbursed if your kit gets stolen/broken by people or is it a case (like in most small lans), you brought it at your own risk

Own risk, although most household contents policies will cover you, unless you claim for a single item worth thousands, such as an uber PC rig, in which case they may require you to declare it separately on the policy.

I shall be there with th!nk COD4 team. Although the venue is now 2x as far for me now it looks to be a much better setup!

Yep, it's put in the T&Cs that you sign when you come in, anything you bring in you do so at your own risk. Which is a shame when some little ASBO drinks a few too many Smirnoff Ices and pukes on your PC (yes this did happen, thankfully not to me)

Just booked in to BYOC, lots of seats became available again. The original poster should make up a list of everyone whos going with their seat numbers or something

That venue looks amazing.

I remember back at i4, it was in a tiny little hall in Swindon with absolutely no facilities - Not even an internet connection. They've sure come a long way

Yep, was at Swindon footy ground when I went to i1 i2. Can't believe its at i34, time flys!!

Im going! I'm glad they've changed the venue because it is now a heck of a lot closer :) Plus it looks more spacious and capable of supporting such a large number of people.
