When will you be pushing towards 4.8?

If it can reach 4.8Ghz, then for sure, this will be a better cpu than the SB (which also reaches around 4.8Ghz, but with lower IPC).

Bear in mind though, even at these speeds, we are talking very small margins. In real World usage, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a IB and SB.

We just need to see the pricing of these babies and see if the SB CPUs reduce in price (to clear stock).

NO, its just not stable over 4.5Ghz, not doing anything special either.

Would you be able to post the "All CPU" test result for the 3570k in Perfomance Test 7 (passmark) at stock speeds? I know it's only a benchmark and doesn't mean much in real world applications but I'm just interested to see how the numbers compare it to the 2500k.

Not surprise really but have you try Asus board as I think some gigabyte board might limit 4.4GHz and swap over to Asus board and went straight to 4.8GHz.

4.5Ghz is rock solid, strange that it ****s up with anything more.

Could be the betaBIOS, could be a lack of Vcore.

I think IntelBurnTest can be very serious problem on ivybridge, let alone extra heat on it and cause BSD possible!

And after owning a 2500K that was 5Ghz+ (ran SuperPI at 5.2Ghz), could have gone higher if was a brave man with the Vcore.

I guess I was expecting the same.
