I7 2600k over clocked using asrock fatality m/b

well after 1 min it dropped from 4700 down to 4000 its now at 3900 core voltage 1.304v its about 30 mins in .
maybe this is the reason cant be oc past 4ghz????? dont see why not tho

that must be to something to do with the board, seeing that you payed ocuk to pre oc your board it may be worth talking to them about it.

also in the dram is there any setting i can change on the ram to improve that?

tbh i dont know as iv not played around with your ram, usually you can increase the frequency to 1866 and add more volts, what ram do you have? check to see what volts they are rated to, i bumped mine up to 1.6v as thats what they say is safe volts form them

read the reviews that should give you some ideas. it also say rated to 1.55v so its up to you what you want to do, in the reviews it does say someone got 7.8 out of wie.

i wouldnt worry to much about your ram as i believe it is a good product at stock

just raised the limit to 250 shows as x47 multiplier when i run prime 95 drops again to x41 / x40 when i stop the stress test raised back up to 47000mhz

thats a shame :( i was hopefull that would work, it has improved it though so you really need to find out what the max you can go is on the core limit coz it sounds like if you bump it up more it will fix your problem

even with my chip a 5GHz it still doesnt hit 7.9? lolz

Only one system has ever scored 7.9 on WEI

specs are :

CPU
Dual 6-core X5680's
Motherboard
SR-2 (chilled water cooled)
Memory
G.Skill 48GB

Server hardware maxed out it seems. So your SB chip is still doing well :)
