I7 2600k over clocked using asrock fatality m/b

How can I upload pics? Stress test running for good couple hours now and its at 3900. X39. Surely it shouldn't be dropping. If someone can tell me how I'll do screen shot of my bios setup

if your using win 7 then use snipping tool,

windows-all programs-accessories-snipping tool

So really how safe do u think it would be to over clock CPU to?

there is a lot of debate about this you will read some people say 1.45v is fine others say 1.4 and most dont go over 1.35. its down to you, can you afford to replace the chip if it goes pop and they dont replace the chip when you rma?

i think as long as you keep the temps down and are comfortable with your oc then do as you see fit

Can I also check with prime 95 what options/menu do u go into to start the test as your screen shot looks different to mine

i set mine to show all threads in one window, that is all

as for uploading try image shack or photobucket

Ok gonna try upload pics now. So u think 4.8 or 5gz is safe? Any chance u can email me ur screen shots so I can look at them when in bios as obviously can't got to see forum. [email protected]

i can get 4.7 stable @ 1.34 4.8 stable @ 1.36 4.9 stable @ 1.39 and 5 @ 1.43

i choose to run it at 5 as i will just buy another one if it dies and am happy with my temps when playing games etc and idle too

i will email them to you but plz bare in mind can you afford to buy another chip if it goes pop or any other components it may take with it!

if you can stablize 4.7 on my settings then i suggest you use them as its below the 1.35v that a lot of people say is the safe volt

i have uploaded my current settling for the 4.5ghz let me know if you think anything can be changed or even what to change to for a higher OC?
thanks
btw i owe you a beer for all your help :-)

where are these pics?

not necessary just glad to help ;)

i say 4.7 is the safest as could keep you under 1.35v prime stability pending

4.8 could take you to 1.38v? if your happy with that and it is 4 hours prime stable then keep those settings

thanks for the link, i see you have everything set as i suggested so i have no idea why its dropping to 3.9ghz?

you can clear the bios via the reset switch at the back but you will lose all your saved profiles. but it may help plus i sent you another email with settings for 4.7 which keeps you under 1.35v so its safe ;)

Just tried setting for 4.7. Saved and restarted. Went back in bios to ensure it saved b4 booting win7 and on main tab it says processor speed 3829mhz. Rather than 4700mhz. ??????

clear the cmos, also what version of the bios are you running as there is a minor update on asrocks website

wait wait wait i just looked through your pics again and you have a p67 board which is different to my z68
