thanks

yep it sure is. As your fairly new around here check TJmax and idle temps mean nothing. Use the search plenty of threads from the hot wather in the past 6months

hi and thank for your reply im just wondering if there is any way to cool it down any more is there any air cooler that would be better. the main reason I want to cool it down a bit would be so I can overclock it to around the 4GHz mark

thanks

50 degrees on a stock chip?

I get 42 degrees on a 1Ghz overclock.

Something wrong with the mounting of the H50 perhaps? Is the fan spinning?

Or the motherboard could be reading your temps incorrectly.

Your chip may just be recalcitrant. Some of them are.
The H50 is a good cooler, there are few air coolers that will out perform it.

Correct me if i'm wrong but you didn't say what temps your actually getting?

Plus idle temps are not that important unless very high.
You need to test with linx or prime 95 to see what full load temps are like.

i did say what i was getting idle but the link has broken i will link to another pic within a few minutes
Okies sorry :p

running prime 95 now will uploaded results after about 30 - 60 minutes stressing
Keep an eye on them while its running just in case they get to high.

Do you have the H-50 connected to the right mobo header as in is it running at full speed?
Hw monitor should the you the rpms of the pump.

ok definte problem there, now more stressing as temps way to high for stock!

What mobo do you have as i would recommend plugging pump into it so you can be sure its at full speed.Atm its sound like its not.
