i7 930 temp issue

I may have the answer, it's just dawned on me.

Do you have the heatsink fan set to push the hot air out the back of the case? Might be worth you putting your hand around the back or around the heatsink to see if you're getting much hot air left inside the case.

I know I have the H70 so it's a bit different for me, but if I switch my top case fan off my temps sky rocket. Just an idea!

Since the hot air is being expelled from the top I can decrease my temps even further if I sit the case at the side of my desk rather than under it.

If the hot air coming from the back is hitting a wall or a nest of cables then maybe that's the reason

another thing to look at, when the PC is cold boot into the BIOS and let us know the cpu temp straight away. Mine is 29

If yours is like 35 then something else is definately wrong

OK well firstly I have the Silverstone FT02 so all the heat comes out the top of my case but I do have my corsair h50 at the top so that could be part of the problem

I will do a cold boot shortly then tell you guys the temps

ah, well you need a fan pushing cold air from outside into the radiator, then ideally a second fan on the other side pulling the hot air away from the radiator. Mine is sat on the rear of the case with a top fan set pulling all the hot air away from inside the case.

sounds like you are not cooling the radiator well enough
