Can someone explain the permutations of how NZ can qualify for the semis? I can't work it out with all this net RR business.

Excellent century by Smith...really the only one in the side who turned up to play...rest of the SA batters did an England

Poor SA..always choke at the big games and when it counts...looks like they are out along with SL...2 of the faves for the champs trophy.

Another good England performance...thought they had a fluke against SL the other day but seems like they have hit form at the right form.

Hmmm i wonder if the people who said they couldnt give a toss about ODI cricket ie JohnnyG and Rich L are eating their words seeing as England are more or less through to the semi's

I don't see how anyone couldn't enjoy the quality of cricket we've seen in England's first two matches

I think the key is that this is a much more meaningful tournament than the ill-judged 7-day ODI series against Australia was.
