ICC Champions trophy SA **Spoilers**

I've googled but not come up with anything, how come Eoin Morgan qualifies to play for England exactly? Does he have an English parent or grandparent etc?

He's been playing in county cricket for 5 years at least now I'd have thought and as Ireland are only an associate nation, he'll qualify for England in a similar manner to Pietersen and Trott. He can also play for Ireland again if he goes 4 (I think) years without playing for England.

A nice backhander probably :p

Amuses me that England have a few 'foreign' players in their ranks ie Strauss, KP, Trott and now Morgan...but anyhow at least today they showed that they can bat well...question is can they bowl just as well...if they do then SA are probably out depending on the run rates of the other teams...pretty open group....Pakistans group is pretty open...we have a tough game against the Aussies coming up...Aussies have a tough game coming up with India tommorrow i think.

Shocked that SL lost today...after the battering they gave the SA's last week they really have lost their way somewhat with a loss against England and today they lost to NZ.

He was probably traded for an Irish terrorist as part of the peace process! :p

KP, Trott and Morgan fair enough, but Strauss came to the UK at age 6 and has an English mother, so he would have been as much of a foreigner in the SA team as he is in the English team imo.

Ahhh ok i didnt know that Strauss has been in England for such a long time...:o

Strauss and Pietersen have English mothers. Trott also apparently has 'British ancestry' according to his wiki page.

Decent start for England...got 2 important wickets of Gibbs and Kallis...get Smith and De Villiers and its more or less game over for SA...

Nicely taken...De Villiers out...another major wicket gone...get rid of Duminy or Smith and the game is Englands for the taking.

Personally i think SA are going to struggle getting to that score...if it was under 300 then i would have said SA to win...good thing the English batters set a high target.

Duminy gone, bowled Swann. They need 9 an over - but with Boucher and Morkel to come the pessimistic england supporter in me still says SA will do it but it will be close.
