Girls dad is supposed to be flying away to Maliga at tea time from Glasgow. been reading some flights are getting to go from Glasgow is this true does anyone know?

Not quite sure. Flights from Glasgow and Northern Ireland have a clear window west to Canada and the US.

Malaga is South. So it can't fly through UK controlled airspace, unless it flies South over the Atlantic. Also France have a similar no fly zone too, noit sure about Spain.

Also commerical flights stick to authorised routes and radio beacons. They don't generally freely fly anywhere in the skies.

Will this eruption have a visible effect on our climate? Like, crap summer then another cold winter?

This one probably wont have much noticable effect at all.
However, if Katla erupts then its a different kettle of fish, id say you can kiss goodbye to summer this year.. and possibly next year.
you'll see a drop in temp. of around 4degrees C. (i think!)
which doesnt seem like much, but really is quite significant!

having to remember back to my studying days ^^
