Hi
Editing and gaming rig
My original idea was to just replace the insides of my Obsidian 900D after my mobo died.
But after the repair shop mangled my case in shipping after carrying out a diagnosis (check water cooled threads for full story)
I decided to go with a new case as the old one had served me well but it wasn’t fit for purpose with the front io still having usb 2.0 headers.
After a search and advice from members, I looked at the Corsair iCue 7000x as it ticked the boxes in terms of being able to hold an eatx board with 1 X 360mm & 1 480mm radiator.
Today the parts started arriving (I’ll post some pictures soon)
I’ve gone for a full upgrade the only thing I’m not upgrading is the gpu.
The build is an
amd R9 5950X
64GB Corsair vengeance DDDR 4 3600mhz
Asus crosshair extreme
Ek cpu block
Asus gtx 1080ti W ek waterblock
I have been kindly offered some help by one of the members to do the custom hard line loop as my last build I gave up trying to bend petg and instead used a shed load of fittings.
Thanks for reading
