Has anyone thought that the guy might be catching him with a neck rope to give him medical help or whatever?

You can't judge what's happening in the picture because the top of it is clearly not in shot. It's only the caption that insinuates the guy is "hitting" it.

It's a picture from Canada's annual seal hunt - they hunt seals for fun then sell their fur, etc., with the excuse of "controlling the population". They quite literally smash them over the head - the only thing missing from the picture is the metal on the end of the wooden pole. If you want to see a full picture here's a link to one.

That image made me feel sad.. this is a funny thread, i dont like seal clubbing or any animal cruelty..

animal cruelty is probably worse than people killing each other.. at the end of the day us humans are the sickest greediest creatures that has graced this planet.

plus some animals are cute...like when you hear chavs playing football with a puppy...

no more "LOLLINGZ!!!!1" at seal clubbing.

It's a joke, chill out.

Plus there's also the context that the "I'd hit it" pictures are usually taken in, which made the pictures amusing.

Rubbish, i and im sure the majority of people in the civilized world don't feel the slightest urge to hunt anything, such needs died out centuries ago and even then im sure it was never really a gene related instinct as such but just a thing that was done to get food with the skills passed down from each generation, i would say the more civilized people are the ones who have evolved away from such barbaric acts, no living thing we use today should have to suffer with our current technology, sure we need various animals but nothing should suffer for it at the very least.
