Ideally what size monitor would you game on?

Depends on desk size as well i reckon. The deeper the desk, the bigger the monitor i want.

I'm currently using a 24" monitor on a 3' deep desk but its about 30" away from my face. If i was to put it right at the back of my desk which i will be soon, then i think a 28" would be more suitable.

Went from a 40" 1080P TV to a 27" 1440P monitor.

Ideally I'd like the monitor a little bigger, it may sound strange but I find 27" pretty small. About 32" would be really nice. :)

My 24 inch 1920x1200 monitor is almost perfect, it has a great contrast and brightness spec too.

The only problem is its 60 hz.

I wouldnt want a smaller screen, and dont need a larger one either.

26" 1920x1200 @ 60hz here and very happy with it. When I next upgrade I might hang around the same screen size or drop down to a 24 but can't be sure yet, it is afterall a long way off. One thing though, graduating to a 120hz will be a certainty.

I have a 22" and 40".

I have not used my 22" for weeks until today and now it seems tiny.

I have 360 for windows controller and play all my pc games HDMI on 40", even browsing recently.

I use my 24 inch for regular use (office work, internet etc) and my 47 inch with a 360 pad for games that are to be played 'sat back' such as racing games (such as F1 2010) and action games (such as Assassin's Creed).

I am happy with my 32" TV for casual gaming, RPG's, action, driving etc, but i would like to get a decent 120hz monitor for online fps games.

Hmm, i wonder if i can blame my poor online record on playing on my TV from my sofa:p

whats the benefit of 120hz

24"

But i want a 120hz :(

You and me both :(

I really like the new samsungs that OCUK just got in, and there are 27" beasts with 120 hz now, but still only 1080p.

I got my current monitor before any 24" 120 Hz monitors were around, and it was a while before Acer released the updated 23.6" 120 hz model (The one that was black but with the exact same shape and price tag as my G24).

I'm pretty hooked on my 16:10 24"

For 24" and under I'm a dedicated 16:10 fan

I'd really like to try a 27" 16:9 though. They look pretty nice. And 27" is 1440 vertical or something, so it's enough for me to not care if it's 16:9 or 16:10
