Identify this bug

So that's not a sting. Glad I rescued it now.

Hampshire which for once isn't chucking it down with rain.

Good on you... so many people would just squash it out of ignorance... and being namby-pamby scaredy cats. So sting or not it does not deserve to die.

Mind you, are you sure it wasn't using that screw as a weapon? :D
 
Well my first instinct was "Jayyyyyyzus.. squish that thing". That lasted about a second before "If the cat eats that, that sting will go right thru their brain" and also "Where the hell are my gloves, I ain't touching that thing" and finally "Someone on OCuK whose dad kills things for a living will be able to identify that"

I reckon it was probably trying the screw out for size before coming back to shiv one of the cats with it.

I frequently have to retrieve lizards and mice to save them from being turned into an inside-out jigsaw puzzle on the front doormat.

All bugs/insects apart from ones who polinate have no reason for existence.
They will be destroyed on sight.
