I wouldn't see the point in this since everyone will be expected to have IE7 and it's being rolled out automatically too so by XMAS every average Joe connected to the net will be running IE7 and every experienced user will have the choice to do so or not depending on their power user settings.

you be surpised, our company (with over 7000 users) have only just put people on IE6 around 6 months ago :p

ooooooh I like.

Having not used FF before, tabbed browsing is new to me and I like it very much, makes it so much nicer rather than having loads of windows filling the task bar

Looks a lot nicer to :)

I have had a problem since Beta 2 in that external links open in a new window, and not in a new Tab within the current window. I have the options set in IE7 and the only program that seems to actually open links in a new tab is from Windows Live Messenger. Anyone else have this problem?

Anyone else perturbed by the way IE7 doesn't render clearly?

As in it is always slightly blurred - FF doesn't. Check out my pic (sorry, 2.24MB - I left it in 24bit Bitmap to avoid losing any clarity).

Top is FF RC3
Bottom is IE7.

Click me

It always has a little 'haze' in IE7.

You've got clear type on judging by the font. I had to turn it off manually even though I thought I turned it off when it asked me first time I ran it

THANK YOU!

For the last few months I didn't use IE7 for this exact reason! Oh dear lord it may my eyes hurt.

How is it that 'Clear Type' is actually worse?

Somewhere on microsft site is a clear type control panel download that allows you to tune clear type for your display/image preference.

I deffinatly wouldnt be without cleartype. text is so harsh and jaggied without it.
