I quit a high paying role that involved a 1h 30 mins. commute each way across London.
I should have just stayed at the Premier Inn in front of my workplace and went home on weekends.

I never liked that role because of the commute. O why o why did I not think of this then ?

I did molecular biology at uni because "you should do what do well at in school".

I wasted a few years in a **** job before slowly getting into IT. I have no love for this job but it pays OK.

If I didn't enjoy uni experience I'd have said 6th form, uni were not only a waste of time but also money too.
It's not just the lost of money from the student loan debt... I could have easily been a home owner at 25 rather than 35.
So it's that loss too.

If I could go back I'd absolutely change this and do engineering instead, or an apprenticeship.

I used to stay home and play NFS MW 2005 on the PS2 instead of commuting and going to the lectures. The notes were online anyway!
I did avoid getting blown up during the 7/7 bombings though. So, it did help.
