Hi all if you could change an even in your life what would it be and what would the consequences be ?

I would have made sure my sister failed her 11 plus. This would have mean`t she didn't get to go to grammar school and in all likelihood would have gone to the crappy secondary school i went to.

Secondly following this is 99% certain that she would not have done as well at school and wouldn't have had the grades to do A-levels and would not have been able to go into 6th form.

Thirdly this would have mean`t that she would have had to go to Boston College and probably have had to do something along the lines of nvq, gnvq etc which everyone looks down on.

Fourthly with less pressure on me and seeing that she can fail at things i would have been able to be more successful.

So as you can see I would not be denying my sister any opportunities just giving her crappy opportunities which lead to a dead end.

Reading a troll thread that has been completely failed to be moderated, leaving the actual OP free to chortle to him (it is definitely a him) self at how much outrange has been generated.

With the level of **** in these forums over the past couple of years, I genuinely can't understand why the new owners tolerate it. Sure, it generates traffic, but that's like Gary Glitter generating traffic to your site and the weekly scrum meeting going like 'Hey, great, any traffic is good traffic'.

I work 9 hour days 8am to 5pm and Saturday half days with some overtime for a garden specialist retailer, is that a rubbish job? Got myself in an existensial crisis. I get overtime rate of 1.5 times my hourly wage after 4.30, but otherwise min wage.

troll or no troll (mentioned a few times) the underlying question even if you did choose to ignore the content of the post ,is a good one ,not something that cam be googled and involves (if you choose to ) a little deep ,introspective thinking

I would say at the moment any job is a good job ,i am agency so if one company goes down i just go to another ,also on min wage but on a Friday (early finish) this is also time and a half .also i am tax free at the moment so the 400 or so i take home to me (being mortgage free) is a fortune
also working padstow way so i can call somewhere nice on the way home if i choose ,not happy with the hours but by the time the assignment finishes i will be ok for another few months off

Weird thread, weird mindset to have... Not what I expected to find when I clicked it!

Weirdly angry and targeted reply. :p

Also, I have absolutely no idea what OP is on about. 11+? Huh?

I would not have played computer games so much in my 20s. I am 31 and finally learning guitar properly. I did play bass for a few years in my teens/ early 20s but when i quit the band to focus on university i picked up gaming instead of music until now.

For me its so much more rewarding than gaming.

Years ago, I had the chance to cheat in a test for a job interview. I chose not to because I ... well, I knew I was the best candidate, and had some morals.

Someone less experienced than me got the job by answering the last question of the test correctly (The only one I didn't). The guy who wrote the test even admitted he didn't expect anyone to be able to answer it - even he couldn't. At that point I knew the other guy must have been offered the test answers - same as I had.

Ever since, I've been on the back foot. Was second fiddle to every opportunity - despite being the one that invariably ended up with all of the more complex jobs.
