What would it be?

For me ... August 18, 1969 and Hendrix Wakes Up Woodstock With "Star-Spangled Banner" I honestly cant begin to imagine how amazing that must have been, the guy was so ahead of his time it was unreal, couple that with the stoner hippys just waking up, it must have been surreal.

Every time I watch that it sends chills down my spine.

One year later. I was at the 1970 Isle of Wight festival. The Hendrix set was not as great but was one of his last.

It would be good to revisit being 18 though.:D

LOL at Gary Glitter answer, his band were really good though :) Queen at Wembley, yep ... classic show was that, wish I was there.

Good replies lads, keep em coming.

One show I did have tickets for was 1980 Pink Floyd the Wall show at London Earls Court, but never made it :(

Did make amends by going seeing Pink Floyd (Gilmour's version) 1994 at same venue and it was good too :)

I went to university in Manchester in the late eighties but never once went to the Hacienda. I didn't get into the Stone Roses/Happy Mondays/Joy Division etc until I had left, and now I wish I'd been there every night.

I always liked the Groundhogs for their live acts and one of the best concerts they did in my opinion was the Split tour which I saw at South Parade Pier in Portsmouth while I was at college. Standing close to one of the speaker stacks I was functionally deaf for several days after.

Another band startup was Genesis and I seem to remember them supporting Lindisfarne at the same venue. I next saw them on the Trick of the tail tour after Gabriel had left the band.

There are too many really, Dr Feelgood, Jethro Tull... now I just have the vinyl.

This performance of Scheherezade. I have list count of how many times I have watched/ listened to it.

Or just seeing Bowie at all, Unfortunately never did get to see him, RIP

First saw him in Hanley around 72/73, actually the only time.

Queen at Wembley 86

First saw these supporting Mott The Hoople and Max Wall and saw them several times in the 70s.

Gary glitter

Got to see him 3 times in the early 70s, fantastic shows.

It's great being old for some things.
If it's to watch a gig again I'd already seen then it would be Led Zeppelin in 1971 because at 13 I didn't quite understand the live set to the albums and I thought they didn't know how to play their own songs :)
If it's to watch something I never saw then Buddy Holly or The Beatles.
Hendrix is a good call but he does bore me after a while.

Great answers folks, but please bear in mind, topic is about whom we have NOT seen (and where and when historically) rather that those we have seen.

Its all good though. thanks, never realised there was so many good musical ears on here!

100 Club 1976 Sex Pistols. I don’t want to wish my life away but if only I’d been 6 or 7 years older, I’d have seen them live in the 70’s.
