If you could go back in time, where would you go?

Read up on the Manhatten project. It's not as if someone suddenly woke up on day and cobbled together a nuke before breakfast!

Dont forget this is about time travel, once you go back you are in the present, the future hasnt happened yet, so even though you write down the lottery number go back and enter, you still have 1 in a ? chance, it still isnt certain...

Can you disprove that?

Anyway, as I said earlier, this is really not the point.

what is the point then? A lot of people are interested in WW2 and Rome, i am one of them, to mess around with history would be fun.. How can you say it wouldnt be?

For the first, read my post earlier about the Copenhagen and the many-worlds interpretations of quantum mechanics.

For the second, the point was that your entire function on this forum is to act like the comedy hard man - shouting ridiculous things over and over and over in the vain hope that people will see you as some kind of tough guy, instead of the wannabe that you are. You would make a good caricature for a comedy show.

So thats your opinion? why exactly are you trying to tell me what i am doing? You might aswell go up to a black guy randomly and try to convince him that he is white, he might be blind, in which case the outcome might be good enough to post a thread.. have fun.

Is there seriously anybody on the forums that believes that platinum is anything more than a scared internet tough-guy? If so speak up - I'd love to hear it!

Even if you somehow believe it yourself (which I still find unlikely), the impression you've given on this forum over the years is not in doubt. Live and die by your own words *shrug*

Anyway - back to time travel :D

Only 3? Well then... 1st I would go back ~13.9 billion years and watch the big bang (mustn't forget my sunnys ha!). Then it's off to ancient Greece to hang around for a bit and hopefully see a phalanx in action. Finally I would go to the holy land around the time of the crusades.

Actually add to my list going back and meeting Genghis Khan, after all he is an ancestor!

1. Ancient Rome and watch Marcus Cicero make a speech
2. Hang around in Shakespearean London
3. California gold rush.

Go back to Vinci, Italy to meet Leonardo Da Vinci

& Venice when San Marco was being built
& Patriarchal Cathedral Basilica of Saint Mark

I'd live outside time and play god, but without the worshippers.

If I see how events will unfold over time with certain interferences it would be my game to play.

The construction of the Great Pyramid.
Visit ancient Rome in the time of Hadrian.
Witness Austerlitz, one of Napoleon’s greatest battles.

I'd only really be interested in travel to pre-human times. I'd probably spend all my time looking at Dinosaurs. What they actually looked like (so many questions to answer there), what their behaviours were (you only have to watch something like the Blue Planet to realise the complexity of behaviour of living animals and it would be no different in Mesozoic times), look at the great extinction events (e.g KT, Jurassic and Permian). That keep me busy for a long time (excuse the pun).

Mount of Olives, Jerusalem - April 3, 33 AD - 2 night camping trip.

Hiroshima - 8:15am August 6, 1945

Dallas - 12:30pm November 22, 1963 - Stand on the grassy knoll and shout "Duck!"

I'd go back a few years and buy a few boxes of comic books; superman #1, batman #1 etc :D

then go to the 70s and buy a few stocks.
