Or a focus RS8 (2003 focus, with RWD, racing suspension and racing V8 from ford Racing).

The DBRS9 is the road legal version of the DBR9, you aren't going to get much better than that really.

If it was me (and I fully expect to be flamed to a crisp for this) if I could have *1* car I would have the most expensive car then sell it...

The reson for this is I would have a big pot of cash to buy:

Series 1 landrover
Series 3 landrover, modified for serious off roading
MG BGT
Lotus elan (probably a sprint)
Lotus super 7
+ other fun stuff
and finally a run about car such as a BMW M3 for the run to asda...

I think having a garage full of cheaper (but more numerous) cars will be more enjoyable than just a single extremely good car.

I'd get a FIAT Tipo, then drop the Coupe 20V Turbo engine in, it would fit as the Coupe, Tempra, and 155 are all based on the Tipo floor pan.

Then I'd go hunting for BMWs.
