Thanks more food for thought as that would just about clear my printer. Decisions decisions ideally I would like a 32" IPS 144mhz but they are scarce or on the horizon.

Since the latest firmware I don't think many have had any issues, just so happens most of the votes and posts in this thread about faults was to do with the old firmware. So tempted to get this but its just too wide been umming and arrring for few days but then reading this thread sounds like its another lottery monitor.
what frame rates do you get with the 3070? I'm thinking of making the switch.@Nexus18 - Gsync works fine with my RTX 3070 once enabled in the screen's OSD and in the NV control panel.
30% AVE is pretty good. Just need a 3070 to come into stock.I've not actually tried many different games since switching to the 3070. Horizon Zero Dawn benched an average of 97 FPS at alsmost maxed settings and ran beautifully. Currently playing AC Valhalla (not the best example) which with a few adjustments tends to run at 70-80FPS with occasional dips to ~62. The Mrs is playing RDR2 pretty much maxed wich ranges from ~45-70 FPS, but there's huge scope for tweating there without losing much detail.
For reference my previous GPU was a 2070 Super (very close to the 1080Ti), and have generally observed around a 30% gain at 3440x1440.
Works well with my 3060Ti, Doom 2016 is pretty much solid 144 fps on highest settings.
Another which has me interested is the Acer XV340CK. A bit dearer but still looks to be good for the money.
Just caught sight of this and I'm very tempted. One bonus is that it isn't curved.
One minute I was going with ultrawide then I started inclining towards a 32" 16:9 1440p.
Choosing a monitor is an agonising process.

Well Acer's QC is superior to Iiyama's imo. However the cheapest I've seen the XV340CK was still 170 quid over the cheapest I've seen the GB3461, so...
I`m agonising like mad had my pointer over the buy button loads of times. Its just about 8-10cm too wide. If there was a decent 32" 16:9 1440p 144mhz I would get it.
(btw I`m already on 32" 1440p 75mhz and best monitor I ever bought just wondering whether to get something better to let the 3080 run free)
Iiyama's QC must be very very bad as Acer's is appalling.

I'm currently only considering 32" flat screens as the extra horsepower required to drive a 3440x1440 screen would most likely leave me a smaller choice of video cards, ~ RTX380 or 6800XT.
I think I'd rather get a screen where a wider range of cards can deliver consistently higher FPS, hence staying with the 16:9 1440p.
That could, of course, change.
On the flip, mine is fine and replaced a good Acer. I think I'm lucky of can't stop faults.
Yeah but problem is there are no decent flat 144mhz 32" screens.
That's the problem, yep. There is the LG-32GK650F, though; I didn't think it could support both G-Sync and FreeSync, but apparently, it does.
VA panel though. I need IPS. Forgot to add that before.
