Iiyama GB3461WQSU-B1 - Flat 34" 1440 144HZ 1MS IPS Freesync for <£400

Nice summary there!

Which LG 29" monitor did you come from, I currently have the 29um65 and it is pretty spot on in the whole

How do you find the overall quality compared to the LG 29" i.e.

- blacks/contrast ratio, these 29" monitors from LG have always been great here with contrast ratio being about 1300/1500:1 depending on the panel
- sharpness/coating, is the heavier finish noticeable? i.e. does it reduce the "pop" of the screen
- motion compared to the LG 29", I imagine it should be noticeably better given 60 vs 120/144hz....

My old monitor's the 29WK600

- contrast is about the same to be honest. On both monitors the blacks look black with the lights on and grey with the lights off
- like I said, for me personally it's not a problem. Colours look better on the iiyama, but my old monitor wasn't a native 8bit display
- my old monitor is 75Hz and the iiyama looks much better in motion. Just moving the mouse or scrolling in a browser feels way smoother. You notice the difference especially after going back, once used to the faster monitor

Mine came. Really like it, solid. Haven't had time to adjust it yet or play but will tomorrow. Glad I didnt go for two of them, fits nicely with my Dell 27" 1440p 144h gsync. Had I gone for two it would have been overwhelming.

Nice setup, whats your system specs to power those 2 monitors?

3440x1440p is 4,953,600 pixels. 2560x1440 is 3,686,400. The difference isn't massive. Although a third sounds a lot it's doubtful you'd see a third loss of FPS exactly. Probably 20-25% but as above it's worth it.

Was looking at one of these widescreen monitors.
Currently have 1080p
Just done math the same 1920x1080=2,073,600
Does this mean that my fps will half?

Currently have i7 2600(4.2ghz)
16gm ram
Vega 56 (950,1000)

Was looking at standard 27inch 1440p but this would get rid of my dual screen setup (though since getting Vega 56 only have the connection for 1 monitor)

If I have an idea how this will effect my setup I can look to buy one. Unless I would require a full upgrade will look into a full build.

Generally liyama aren't the best for out of the box settings so might require a fair bit of calibrating.

Be great if tftcentral or pcmonitorsinfo gets this to review to give us proper info on things like response time etc.

How are the out of the box colours?

If anyone finds a profile or some good settings, let me know :D

Should be getting mine early this week.

I thought the colours out the box were great but perhaps only because my previous monitor's were poor. Either way I felt no desire to tweak any settings. Best wait for professional review I think.

Just cancelled my order as well as they weren't able to provide a stock date...fantastic lol

Ordered from elsewhere so fingers crossed I should still have one by the end of the week :p
