Iiyama GB3466WQSU-B1 Curve (1500R) 34” 1440 144Hz VA panel FreeSync Premium Pro

For those who returned to iiyama for update how long did it take and did you get any updates along the way? Mine was collected Tuesday and I’ve heard nothing

Good afternoon.
It will be my first post on this excellent forum ( a lot of resources )

Looking at this monitor for a while. Read the topic. Saw an update was made by iiyama (Mid August) to prevent from initial problems. New batches with new firmware are/should be now standard when purchasing this product right ?

But I am hesitating. Correct me if I am wrong :

This GB3466WQSU-B1 is DP 1.2
This GB3466WQSU-B1 is Freesync Premium Pro

Connected to an Nvidia video card it should work properly without any problems right ?

I say this because the other monitor I am looking at is the Gigabyte G34WQC

This G34WQC is DP 1.4
This G34WQC is G-Sync Compatible Ready and Freesync Premium

Linked to an Nvidia Video Card, Can I say it is a better combo when linked to an Nvidia Card ? Or both should act similarly using the 144hz panel.

Have the flicking problems been resolved now and no other issues? I'm also thinking of buying one.

When OCUK will be getting these back in stock?

I'd give them a call or follow up email. Mine took a couple of days (Picked up Tue, returned on Fri) in the UK. I received progress report emails, but only saying it had been received, undergoing diagnostics and that it was being shipped back.

Mine was exactly the same, around four days and update emails.

Ok I’ll drop them a call as I have no idea what’s going on

edit: appears it’s just been sitting in a depot for a week... they haven’t got it yet

Reporting back:

I can confirm my monitor has the latest firmware.

my flickering issue is not present on desktop nor is it while gaming.

Using a 1.4 dp cable helped a lot with eliminating some of the flickering in menu's

the only flickering i get is when im in load screens and menu’s which is fine as it doesn't bug me much... I'm putting this down to driver related still as reverting back to 451.01 nvidia drivers eliminates this.

If anyone has any other findings please let us know.

Good quality DP1.4 cable solved the problem for me too. Practically all the flickering disappeared in Cytrix, which is where I could notice very rapid brightness changes when working with dark bakground terminals. Also flickering I mentioned in Guild Wars 2 - gone. Can't check Anno1800 which for me was where I noticed the highest rate and most noticeable flickering, as the game simply won't start anymore only gods know why.

Jay85, LRT, All of you are using this monitor with Nvidia card ?

So iiyama still sell the monitor with NON Updated Firmware right ? And this is something they must DO physically right ? We cannot do it from home with the monitor ?

I note for the DP 1.4, even if the monitor is 1.2

The monitor supports DP 1.4, and I'm able to select it using the OSD menu. 5700XT user here. New firmware can be applied by iiyama's authorised repair centre only.
Have you disabled Freesync then? I only have the option to select DP1.4 with Freesync disabled.

I am the same - after upgrading my DP cable, I only seem to get flickering in the loading screen for MS Flight Sim (haven't tried any other games), and it stops once I start playing.
A shame the DP cable provided wasn't enough to eliminate it, but even factoring in a new cable this monitor presents great value.

Which cable did you upgrade to? Club3D?
I need to do more testing still but so far we’re exactly the same. Pretty annoying still but I love the Monitor

I only have the DP cable that i've been using on my dell S2716DG for years, will see how that works out tomorrow.

Ended up ordering the Club3d cable, don't want any messing about tomorrow.

Will you let us know tomorrow if you got the updated firmware and its working fine?

I might wait see what the gigabyte one is like, I think its the same panel but gigabyte are saying they have no flicking issues with theirs.
