IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover Anounnced with 128 player multiplayer

for those with performance issues turn the grass off (individual tufts of grass) i just bought a SOC 480 just for this game :D (i was due a upgrade anyway and its as smooth as silk with settings all on high and model ultra high, shame its soo hard to bring others down lol and fix that damm multiplayer grrrr
 
Shame about all the problems was gonna buy this but think i'll wait till it's fixed, might be cheaper by then to.
 
On my system at least, it's buildings that kill fps. I have all other options set pretty high (including grass and roads) but if I as much glance at a shed it's slideshow time.

Looking at the 1C forums it seems like this kind of stuff will be patched quickly.

Nice pics. I notice you also have a short black vertical line on the screen in those shots. When I first saw it in the game I started to worry my monitor was broken. Thankfully it only appeared in the game.

Looks awesome fairplay. But will definetly have to upgrade my rig before i buy, roll on the 25th ;)

I'm also having frame rate issues, seems a bit here and there. For example, everything Very Low, but shadows enabled. Outside plane = 70fps Inside = 30fps

Lots of optimisation needed, but hats off to the team for making a really graphically intensive flight sim. I had a slide-show at Very High and was very impressed. If only I had the hardware.

Btw, even with most things down, its mostly playable, but I get stutters which really kills my mood more than anything.

Dreaming of swooping around at a solid 60fps some point in the future.

i dunno, when the settings are turned down to make it playable, the game just doesnt look that different from Il2:1946 to me - especially over water.

These guys have historically done a good job supporting their games.

There might be some issues now but they do resolve them in the end. Unlike other pc games these days.
