You've been here since 2009, you should be fully aware of "Stand and Bang" as well as "Boxing Stance."

massive difference though in finishing a fight that you havent started and assaulting someone that is not prepared or is expecting such a force.Lol, "cowardly". Spoken like someone who's never been in a proper fight. I'm not talking some pride and prejudice novel honourable bull**** with fisticuffs at dawn, and afterwards everyone pats each other on the back like gentlemen. You do what it takes to make sure you're the one walking away, and if that means fighting dirty then so be it.
Of course if it ends up getting to the point you're having to exchange blows then you've already failed, but one of the few useful things my dad taught me - don't ever start a fight, but if you find yourself in one, make sure you're the one that finishes it.

Finishing a fight, even if not started by you is to not be the winner, but to end the fight and move on with your life.
Sucker punching someone is a coward move and is normally done in situations where you know, you wont ever win, so you are doing something despicable because you cant win but also because you are not grown up enough to walk away, be a bigger person. Not to mention the risk to killing someone with a sucker punch is massively increased. Also, makes you a proper c u next tuesday.
okay I get that, the issue is your use of language.I think people are misunderstanding my post - I'm not talking about randomly going up to someone and hitting them (if that's the first place your mind goes it says more about you than me ), but if some lowlife has you trapped in a corner, threatening you unless you hand over your wallet/phone/etc. are you going to let them to punch/stab you before defending yourself (if you even get the chance), or are you going to wait for them to drop their guard/be distracted, and make a move before legging it? If the latter somehow makes me a "coward" or "see you next Tuesday" then so be it; rather that than spending a few nights in A&E/a morgue
Like I've already said, if it does get to that point then you already screwed up somewhere (don't be wandering down dark alleyways with scumbags around, don't go flashing the cash about, be aware of your surroundings etc.), but if you DO get into that situation, and it's unavoidable, then it's better to be the one walking away from it than being carried away.
I guess that's what happens when people don't read the whole post before responding to itokay I get that, the issue is your use of language.
Disagree, all of your posts in here do not align with #44.I guess that's what happens when people don't read the whole post before responding to it

but anyway, no c u next tuesday, thanks for clarifying!
because your first post contradicts this nor gives enough context, hell the doesnt give enough context.I thought post 26 was pretty clear on my thoughts on the subject:

Either way, you say you dont, I believe you, no one should be sucker punching anyone. Not here for an argument, bad enough with the Chris Wilsons in here.
A sucker punch (American English), also known as a dog shot, coward punch, king hit or one-punch attack (Australian and New Zealand English) or cold-**** (American English), is a punch made without warning or while the recipient is distracted, allowing no time for preparation or defense on the part of the recipient.
The term is generally used in situations where the way in which the punch has been delivered is considered unfair or unethical, and is done using deception or distraction, hence the term 'sucker' used to refer to the victim.
You've done it now lad, you've invited them in here.....Fair enough - maybe I could have worded it better, but I did think it was clear enough
(oh, and don't mention the immigrants )
I think the confusion stems from the fact to most people, a sucker punch is normally associated with the sort of behaviour you get from a drunk loudmouth who starts 'fights' by punching people that don't even know they're in a fight.
It's not, at least in my experience, used very often to describe the act of striking first out of self defence.
Isn't that for bears though? It’s not really hard to work out. Make loud angry noises and hope to scare off the potential threat.
Sure, if you're unable to interpret my post properly then we can go with that
