I'm sick of emailin 20+ members so here it is......MATCHED BETTING by anksta

Great read - thanks Anksta for the effort you've put in. Really like the system (Bookies - haven't looked at the casino one yet). I've signed up with Betfred and Betfair, and am looking for my first bet. Just realised that the Footie hasn't started yet, so it's difficult to find a lay with enough liquidity and a bet with odds of 2:1 or better to qualify for the £25 from each. What sports are you betting on at the moment - or do I have to wait until next month for the games to start again?

(Kicking myself too - signed up on the coupon at BetFred for the £25 only to find that they're offering £50 ATM - D'oh - will have to see if I can blag it!)

your welcome mate, I've explained this to a few people who've just said na cant be bothered and I can't understand why anyone wouldn't mind an extra bit of cash for minimal effort.

There are always a lot of games going on, you can normally find the liquidity on somethin with enough effort. I've signed up to a few as well only to find a bigger offer on I've missed. I know its a long way away again but when Ascot comes on there are always loads and loads of offers on.

Cool - will keep an eye out - is it worth emailing/phoning BetFred and seeing if they'll upgrade my offer (certainly think £25 is worth an email :D ) Or are they normally pretty inflexible with that kind of thing.

(And yeah - not sure why this isn't more popular - such a simple idea - We'll give you money to bet with us - cover the bet both way - lose a small amount - take the free cash and run :D - sounds like a nice way to to spend my time!)

not sure whether to hit a casino tonight, instead of matched betting

will saturdays offer better sign up bonuses?

also corals have a 10 for 20bonus in the sun, cant remember the code though :(

erm, I dont know, its probably unlikely they'll bump your offer but dont spose you have anythin to lose by emailin them so you might as well.

I spose not enough people know about it and the ones that hear about it are always gonna be skeptical, especially if they dont put the time in to understand it.

Infact, while I'm at it, I'll mention the tennis rules too. Tennis offers the biggest rules difference due to retirements. Betfair void bets if the first set hasn't been completed, where bookies vary from ball served to match complete.

This can mean you could end up risking your liability without being compensated by the win. I've had my fingers burnt a few times on large amounts, so please check the bookies rules if you are having a go on tennis.

Off the top of my head, Betfred, Sporting Odds group, Skybet and Tote have the same rules, but double check ;)

Why - will that invalidate the bet that has the wrong Pitcher List?

Betfairs rules

Which team will win? If either of these named pitchers fail to start the game for any reason ALL BETS PLACED ON THIS MARKET WILL BE VOID. Each teams starting pitcher is defined by the pitcher that throws the initial pitch of the game for each team.

So you bookie bet will always stand but if the pitchers change then your lay bet will get voided.

Bugger - thanks for the heads-up - kinda breaks all the rule then :(

On a lighter note - having a go at the Bonus-bagging on Ladbrookes (£100 for £100 deposit with £800 bet) - but here's the tricky thing - I'm up £70, with £240 played so far - should I quit, or keep going hoping that the streak holds and aim to get the bonus as well :p

Bonus bagging success #2:

£168 from VC Casino, it is worth waiting until you have waged £5000 so you can get the £250 bonus.

cavemanoc you should definitely continue. The odds aren't that badly against you (around 48% chance of winning any hand) so your current profit shouldn't go down by more than £50

I did! Came out £85 up + £100 bonus (though I'm not celebrating until the cash is in my account ;) )

How long does it usually take for the Casino/betting shops to cough up your bonus cash / free bet money?

After took a decade to decide on the match outcome, I came out £8.50 up from my £10 free bet. I mistakenly lay a bet without matching it on betfair, which I ended up winning so I'm currently about £40 up, although not entirely through matched betting ^^.

I'm on totesport now, with a £25 free bet, SNR I believe. I am struggling to find in most bookies T&Cs where it says if its SNR or not though.

I also have nearly £100 in quidco, but that'll take ages to reach me I think.

Another quick question about BetFair: Placed the bet with Betfred / Betfair, the result is in on BetFred and they've paid up, but on Betfair it is still showing as 'unsettled' - in the glossary it says this means they're still waiting for a result, but I know it's over as BetFred have taken my 'loss' - any idea what the delay is on BetFair?

(Showing as matched, so can't see what the problem it?)

(I did get the £50 which is nice - but I didn't realise you have to wait to have it credited to your account before betting again  ) - really annoyed with BetFair as I can't place the next bet until the last one is settled. :(

this is stupid i sent my claim for the £50 VCCasino on wednesday I think it was and still no sign of it! Ive emailed them also and no reply yet. Was still £8.50 up so think I will just close this down and then start another one.

As long as i goto 32red via quidco and register it will work yes? doing it in IE this time and it seemed to work but in opera it didnt i dont think.
