I'm sick of emailin 20+ members so here it is......MATCHED BETTING by anksta

Thanks :)

So when you're actively doing MB with bookies, on average how many bookies are you playing with in the period of say 1 week?

I think i've more or less figured out one a week just isn't worth it.

Thanks :)

er, to be honest I havent done any in a while, prob done about 40 bookies in total, a lot of them twice so more like 15 different ones and a few others. Reckon I got through them pretty quickly, I'd say an average rate of one or 2 a week but sometimes much more than that.

The method I used was sign up at one, complete, sign up at another. That method is time dependant as it depends what you are betting on and when, i always stuck to football so that could mean waiting til the weekend for Premiership games but if you look around, there are matches on everyday that you can bet on.

I'd say jsut go at a pace you can afford, thats the main thing.

Will this work with companies I've already done bonus bagging on? I notice with Betfair you can only enter a code when signing up and not depositing.

will what work? If you've already bagged the bonuses I dont understand what you're askin

Well, for the bonus to be added to your account you need to enter a code in betfair. However, you can only enter codes when signing up. If I've already bonus bagged there I cannot enter a code because I'm already signed up.

oh right, no you can sign up again. One of their customer service guys rang up and I said somehtin like well that'll leave me with multiple accounts wont it, and he said it was fine, doesnt matter.

If you find your way to usin the referral code at the start of this thread I'd be very grateful.

Just thought I'd post that I just put 50 into totesport and played blackjack for about 4 or 5 hours, took out 177.

A lot of people have posted in this thread and the other casino thread about bonus bagging a couple of years and making a lot of money but that is isnt worth doing now. I agree that maybe 3 or 4 years ago it would have been a lot easier to make a significant amount, it is still very doable, there are still plenty of offers around to take advantage of.

Help!!!!

Decided to do my 3rd bet with Betfred, my qualifying bet should have been like so

Liepajas Metalurgs vs Glentoran

BFred: Bet on LM £50 @ 1.36
BFair: Lay on LM £48.92 @ 1.44

I would have had a net loss of £3.54 retaining 92.95% of my original bet

HOWEVER

When laying on BFair the above amount it couldn't match it, when I tried to cancel it automatically staked £22.68 and only cancelled £26.24 of what I asked.
Now I've figured out what will happen, I just want someone to confirm my workings.

Win @ BFred
50@ 1.36 = 68 - 50 = £18
22.68@ 1.44 = -32.66 + 22.68 = -£9.98

Net: 18 - 9.98 = +£8.02 <------- That has to be wrong surely?

Win @ BFair
50@ 1.36 = -£50
22.68@ 1.44 = 22.68*2 = £45.36

Net: -50 + 45.36 = -£4.64

If the above then I retain 90.72% of my original bet instead of nearly 93% which isn't too bad.

So first of all can someone validate the above, second of all I obviously don't understand this business of "matching" my stake at betfair, what's that all about and why couldn't I put the full £48.92 as I was trying?

Edit: **** Just realised that's not £45.36 profit is it it's £22.68 which would mean I'd be down £27.32 and not £4.64 like I thought

^^ I got lucky I won at the bookies and made a profit of £8.02.

I made two mistakes, the one I already mentioned and I didn't read the T&C's. Which stated that in order to qualify for the free bet I had to choose stakes of 2.0.

Well, I've been having a bash at this this weekend so thought I'd bring the subject up for discussion again. It is quite involved. But its quite addictive as well (I've had pound signs in my eyes all weekend - they're a kind of blood red :D ). As far as I can make out its WELL worth the time and effort. However be sure to keep a close eye on what you're doing - keep a record. I'm looking for a better method than the one I've used here :p .

Also for anyone who's interested I have a referral code for Bwin. And there are probably ones for Coral and Betfair too. Would be good to share the love, so to speak.

Here's my workings for anyone who's interested. As far as I can make out I stand to earn towards £85 (possibly more). If I've done anything wrong, somebody please pull me up. The only mistake I can think of was only laying £25 on my first bet on Betfair and not laying it on something I was likely to lose (see the T&Cs for Betfair below if that doesn't make any sense).

But I'll readily admit I still don't fully understand what I'm doing. Obviously you should do all the research you can but unless you have someone to hold your hand through the process, you have to learn by doing. Something i didn't relish.

My advice would be however:

  • Really do read the Ts&Cs.
  • Most sites give a demo for betting - if you're not familiar with it (I'd never laid a bet in my life), then do watch and digest.
  • If you're not sure whether a stake from a free bet is returned or not, just ask. I got straight through to Coral Customer Services on a freephone number and the guy was really helpful (actually I had to ring him to get to give me my fre £10 bet manually).
  • Use this thread over at Money Saving Expert. I've only just got access to it because their forums have been down this weekend (may go down again in fact). But its already proved invaluable.
  • This has also proved a useful collection of all the free bets on offer. However I feel MSE will be a more up to date source.

Anyways here's my workings. Like I say I'm not sure I'm doing things exactly right. But if I am it might prove useful to anyone thinking of trying this.

The free bet stake can not be withdrawn at any time.

We reserve the right to amend or withdraw any promotion at any point for whatever reason.”

Bristol to beat Tranmere at 4.1 (£16 stake)
Bristol to beat Tranmere at 4.1 (£12.92 stake)

BWin

Deal:

"**** A maximum bonus of GBP 30 (or the equivalent amount in another currency) will be credited per bwin account. The bonus will be credited to the respective account within 24 hours after the deposit is made.

***** The complete amount deposited must be placed at least once and the bonus at least 3 times on one or more sports bets exclusively at bwin before a payout is allowed (within two months after you have received the bonus)
"

I have deposited £30 and received £30 and must bet twice more before being able to withdraw.

STAKE RETURNED

Bet Placed with Bwin

Reggina to beat Genoa @ 3.1 (£30 stake)
Reggina to beat Genoa @ 3.1 (£30 stake)

Bet Layed with Betfair

Reggina to beat Genoa @ 3.15 (£30 stake)

Betfair

Deal:

"5. Only your first bet placed during the promotion period is eligible for this offer. This bet must also be the first settled bet on your account to qualify for the free bet.

6. If the result of your first bet is a loss, your Betfair account will be credited with the free bet up to a value of £25 / €30 within 24 hours of the bet being settled. In the event the first qualifying bet wins there will be no credit to your account."

**** My first bet laid was for £16 (Bristol to beat Tranmere at 4.1). If Bristol win I get my £16 back ****

Cashback:

“04 Apr 2009 17:35:06 Betfair.com 0.00 0.00 tracked ~ Jun 2009”

“£40 for valid membership and active account. You must deposit and wager at least £75.”

“Cashback will be paid in 2 weeks after your £75 worth of bets have been placed. To recieve cashback bets must be placed within a year of opening your account.”

**** Full £75 has now been bet. So just need to wait two weeks for money to track (or whatever the term is) ****

So in total I stand to earn just a little less than £85

£10 from Coral free bet.
£5 from Coral cashback.
£30 from Bwin free bet.
£40 from Betfair cashback.

Just less than £101 if Bristol beat Tranmere (£16 extra).

You haven't taken into account the losses you make on bets, due to the commission at betfair or the difference in odds.

On your Genoa bet at BWin, you are either going to get back £27 or £28.50, so you will be making a loss of £2.50-£3. With your second bet at BWin, you will get £28.50 back whichever one wins, so you need to take £5.00-5.50 off your expected winnings. Because it's stake returned that means you'll be getting £24.50-£25.00.

Similarly with Coral you'll be making a £2 loss, though because you've layed less than you should have, if Bristol beat tranmere you'll make a 35p profit (and of course get your £16 back from betfair).

Good luck with your cashbacks too, I got £80 of cashbacks on the first day I started match betting and only one of them has tracked (william hill) and it will only be paid in May.

I understand how it works, but surely you run out of places to sign up as a new customer.

i ran out of sites too... you can make even more cash if you sign up via quidco

There are recurring offers for existing customers. You just have to keep your eyes peeled. Centrebet had £25 yesterday for the Grand National.

It's not as easy as it used to be. I remember the days when there were no wagering requirements for the free bet. :(

This is what I meant by "just a little less" (though its probably less than I was initially thinking - still haven't fully got my head round your working there - I'll have to re-read), though I would like to make a spreadsheet that does all the calculations for me...

There is two things you should remember - any job or credit application that diggs deeper than basic credit check and on paper you are serious gambler with account in just about every bookie in country.
The system works only on presumption that people who do very complicated calculations and go through incredible mathematical formulas every day for living are stupid enough to leave loophole without controlling the outcome of your exercises.

In other words it's like myth of stoozing - every time Martin the Moneysavingexpert mentions stoozing on TV I want to punch his raving head in - regardless of who's label is on the card there are only two main credit companies in UK - Visa and Mastercard, and presumption that you can troll around their system jumping from card to card indefinitely without them preventing you at some point from getting more cards for the whole sum of your debt and locking you in with a crazy APR is just so naive that everyone should try it just to get burned and stop listening to crazy financial evangelists.

i paid for an in-depth credit report and that is all a company can run on a person so i doubt that is a worry. clearly the government have more advanced resources but the Jo public jobs are not gonna find anything
