I'm sick of emailin 20+ members so here it is......MATCHED BETTING by anksta

I see. But, correct me if i'm wrong but I thought you can't just bet on a general outcome such as X beats Y. I thought you have to bet on a score?

Ignore that. Just had a quick look around and found out you can :p I'll read the more advanced guide now I at least have the basic idea...

Well i've taken a leap and done it, here's what i've done. Correct me if i'm wrong

Free bets: £25 totesport + £10 Betfair (available once first bet is placed)

Qualifying bet
-----------------
Chelsea vs West Ham (1-0)
TSport: Bet on Chelsea £25 @ 1.28 = +£32
BFair: Lay on Chelsea £25.20 @ 1.32 = -£33.26

Net profit bet 1: -£1.26

Free bet
---------------
Charlton vs Burnley
TSport: Bet on Burnley free £25 @ 4.50
BFair: Lay on Burnley £18.04 @ 4.90

Win at the bookies : £112.50 - £25 = +£87.50
Loose at xchange: -£88.40
Net profit scenario (a): -£0.90

Loose at the bookies: -£25
Win at xchange: £88.40 - £18.04 = +£70.36
Net profit scenario (b) - This scenario is really confusing me and i'm not sure what my net profit would be??!?!?!?

Seeing as scenario (b) is confusing me at the moment let's go with a to work out my total profit.

£160 - £1.26 - £0.90 = £157.84
£157.84 - £125 = £32.84

Total profit £32.84

Edit: Would my profit in scenario (b) be £79.10??

When you win at the exchange you just get your stake back plus the value of your stake, if you get what I mean.

So if you stake £10, it doesn't matter what the odds are, you'll get your £10 back then another £10.

So in scenario (b):
Lose at the bookies: -£25
Win at xchange: £18.04
Net profit scenario (b) -£6.96

Although considering your stake at the bookies is effectively 0 (due to free bet) you're actually making £18.04 profit (£17.14 after 5% commission).

As for scenario (a), you only lose 70.36 at the exchange (stake is not included in your loss), so you make £17.14 profit on that as well.

EDIT: So with those odds, your final profit from the Totesport free bet should be £15.88. (That's ignoring the Betfair free £10 side of things).

Hopefully that makes a bit more sense, doubt it will though. :p

Right so the results were

Chelsea vs West Ham (1-0)
Charlton vs Burnley (1-3)

I put £100 into betfair to start with and £25 into totesport

I withdrew a total of £144.64 from totesport and £31.58 from betfair

so that means

£176.25 - £125.00 = +£51.22 profit

Can someone step through that with me as i'm not really sure how I made that much :p

Me neither to be honest! Give me a few minutes and I'll take a look. :p

EDIT: What's the current Totesport offer? Can't find the T&C on the site anywhere, looking at your figures it might have been SR, pretty sure it wasn't when I did it though.

I think I might know what happened, when I placed my first bet the free bet didn't appear in my betslip so I phoned up and complained, so the woman credited my account with £25.

That £25 didn't act as a free stake i.e. SR

Still if somone could put the sums all together for me anyway as i'm going with what you're saying and i'm still not getting that value, even taking the above into consideration

If the stake was SR then that may well account for the extra value, did you get that free bet from Betfair as well?

I'd do the sums but it's less than 24 hours to my first exam now so I'm only spending 5 minutes on the internet. :p

I'm gonna try my sums again see If I can make sense of them :p

Qualifying bet
-----------------
Chelsea vs West Ham (1-0)
TSport: Bet on Chelsea £25 @ 1.28 = +£32 - £25 = £7
BFair: Lay on Chelsea £25.20 @ 1.32 = -£33.26 + £25.20 = -£8.06

Net profit bet 1: -£1.06

Free bet
---------------
Charlton vs Burnley
TSport: Bet on Burnley free £25 @ 4.50
BFair: Lay on Burnley £18.04 @ 4.90

Win at the bookies : £112.50 - £25 = £87.50(This I got the SR but I shouldn't of done :) )
Loose at xchange: -£88.40 + £18.04 = -£70.36
Net profit scenario (a): £17.14

£160 - 1.06 + 17.14 = £176.08 - £125 = £51.08

I'm a few pence out but that's because in the first bet the bookies for some reason gave me £32.14 winnings instead of £32.

Edit: So does that mean my stake was returned or not

theres a lot more to be made too

i have stopped pretty much for 2 months now - spare funds are being tied up on christmas, rather than sitting in casinos/bookies

probably could turn at least another 1-2k next year -see what happens :)

- how much have you got to?

Not sure exact amount, I reckon just over a grand but I reckon I could be out +/- about 200 quid.

What have you been doing for profits after finishing with sign-up bonuses?

Well I did about 15 or so bookies on my own card, then I started again from scratch using my dad's card. Used Quidco a lot more the second time around, plus this thread has got me a fair bit in referrals as well :) (does anyone begrudge me 20 quid for gettin them into this?

After those dried up a bit I've started doin some casinos, made another 50 quid last night, plus there are monthlies in casinos so you can keep goin with them nearly indefinitely, I aim to have about 5 or 6 monthlies going by Christmas, should be able to make >200 a month at least if I can manage with that.
