i might jsut give my xfx one back :o

I think the other factor is that my Dell 2407 is now running a 1:1 pixel mapping and not having to scale the image, I'm stunned by the quality of the image this card can produce on the 2407 at native resolutions.

Obviously with my 7800GTX running most games @ 1920x1200 was a little too much for it ;)

I wouldn't see a free 8800GTX as a free 8800GTX.

I'd see it as a free £500.

What I spent that on is up to me.

If I want the best "bang for buck" card, then that's my choice.

Even at a push, i'd take 2 7900GTOs. Still save myself £150.

[Edit] Typos.

you u do write crap

just an update..

i ran my fear tests some more and got these results with the settings in my previous post.

Min = 13
Avg = 32
Max = 82
50% Below 25
30% 25 to 40
20% Over 40

These are a bit more playable.. but still not as good as a Single GTX.. could someone run FEAR with MAX everything please (Single GTX)
