I’m so undomesticated. I’m good with techie stuff, but that looks as easy as the controls on a NASA space shuttle to me. I wouldn’t know where to start!

I swear that 9 out of the 15 buttons on mine do exactly the same thing. They are just there for fun and stats padding.

I genuinely wonder who does a synthetics wash instead of a mixed. Who does a shirts wash instead of an eco program. Its all a ruse I say.

My partner says the same thing. Every time we swap machines it has even more buttons and washes we are only ever run one of 2 wash programs. She would be quite happy with a machine with just 2 buttons on.

Washing machine died yesterday, knocked out all the electrics. Wasn't even upset, was a Hoover washer dryer, it's just over 3 years old and I'm glad to be rid of it. Thanks to AO, got a new machine next day and old one taken away. Nice upgrade over what we had. Had to remove part of the skirting board to get it in though.

You are obviously happy to get rid of an appliance you didn't like, but that was probably nothing more than a failed heating element. Once they go, they can short and the circuit breakers in the house will detect that.
