Images of items I have purchased (except trainers [no feet pics])

Nice ! 30 odd years since I last saw them

I paid £90.00 each for two tickets plus the usual booking fees.

Not too bad then. I think my boss fell foul of the Ticketmaster price increase nonsense.

Edit
The tickets he was offered were in the gods so didn't fancy paying that much.

Aren’t good projectors like mega dosh for anything worth buying? because I’d love to not have a TV there and it isn’t even something I’d considered. Off to google we go!

Not sure about price but you can get short throw projectors from below that sits where the TV sits even. 10 second google search gave me this.

Cheap s/h laptop for the workshop. Paid £180 for this Dell 3420, has touchscreen and fingerprint reader. 8GB RAM and 256GB NVME (2TB drive on the way 'cos I need more space than that..). Quite pleased with it for the money.

I had tried to get my ancient HP dv6000 working, actually managed to Win10 installed somehow but it kept crashing - then I discovered it only had 2GB RAM lol! (thought it had 4GB). So I put Linux Mint on it and it was looking good - minutes later the graphics died on me! I think I know how to fix it - reflow the GPU - but I'd had enough by that time and bought the Dell.

More than I would like to have spent on a Mouse but Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2.
I've been thinking about changing my mouse, as I want USB C charging. From what you say, I assume you recommend this mouse?

How is the mouse wheel? I really like on my G903 I can swap between clicky and scrolly. Most times it's scolly, I can spin it to move up and down a webpage for example, but every not and then I have a game where wheel up and down do something and I need more control, so I can make it click through the scroll. I have another smaller Logitech which is like a hybrid, it's clicky until I spin hard, then it spins. I guess this is okay if it's how the Superlight 2 works? Ta.

I really like how everything is going to USB-C and I think you will find most Wireless Mice now use this connection type.

My previous long term main was the original Logitech G Pro Wireless (80Grams in Weight) I really enjoyed using this mouse, performed well and had no issues over the number of years I used it but ultimately after lots of "Hype" surrounding new E Sport targeted Mice I just felt like a change so since August I have tried the following mice (All of which use USB C)

  1. Lamzu Thorn
  2. Pulsar Xlite V3
  3. Glorious Model D Pro
  4. Razer Deathadder V3 Hyperspeed
Despite the above list being top tier mice, once the newness placebo effect wore off I felt like my aim in games was "Off"

In terms of it's Scroll wheel - It is "Tactile" but only very subtle, so when scrolling webpages you have to scroll slowly to feel the feint individual notches but if you speed up it then "Spins" and you can't track the notches. (Hopefully this makes sense) to engage Scroll Click it seems quite firm/stiff. I know I mentioned in the original post my DAV3 HS has scroll wheel issues (Which it does) but I have had two copies and my original copy was faultless and the Scroll Wheel was better than Logitech's, very tactile and notchy.

I absolutely love their new "Lightforce Hybrid Switches" they combine optical speed and reliability but give you that mechanical feel, finding them extremely satisfying to use when tapping in game.

Could be worth using the popular online retailer with a very generous free returns policy, in my experience returning opened and tested mice yet full refunds being received before the item has even reached them.

Edit: Forgot to mention the Mouse Skates - They aren't well received/well reviewed since they are "Scratchy" and are less "Slick" than it's competition but I actually like this, finding it gives me more control and stability when aiming rather than it feeling like a game of air hockey

Transferred all my faved tracks from Spotify using tunemymusic.com which did it all behind the scenes in just a few mins. £11.99 for Spotify and a less featured (no playlist sorting on the app for example) or £9 for up to 24-bit FLAC for £9.... Hmm no brainer if ever there was one.

I swear Tidal was something like £18/month when I tried it a few years ago?

I remember this too which is why I always avoided it, now though it seems the library is about as big as Spotify and the price cheaper. For me that is a win win as Spotify still drag their feet with the lossless service which will likely be even more expensive.

That reminds me, this popped up today in YouTube.

I can't wait for my amp to turn up so I can test it out.

interesting, my only qualm with youtube music is that it isn't its own entity away from youtube videos, so your playlists get cluttered as do the youtube homepage sections with music recommendations and stuff - It seems like its just youtube with music features shoehorned in which is what i didn't want as I like my youtube solely for videos and no playlist messing about.

I tend to listen to albums, rather than playlists so don't have that problem.

Just checked, you can ask it not play videos.

That's in the music app though, I mean in normal youtube does it still clutter the feed view with youtube music recommendations and playlist stuff like it used to? I try it like once a year and go back to spotify in frustration at the lack of proper control like a deducated music platform should have.

I don't watch music videos so I never get them recommended, so I can't say i have that problem.

Excellent thanks, I’ll sign back up then providing it has most of the strange stuff I listen to in Spotify!
