Images of items I have purchased (except trainers [no feet pics])

Winter tyres are awesome for repelling snow. I fitted a set for last winter and it magically never snowed once :D.

I dont mind if that is what happens. I hate driving to work in the snow. Its not because I struggle as I always have a 4x4 and suitable tyres but its when you come across people in cars like BMW with low profile summer tyres and they are going sideways at every stage or backwards down hills towards you.

I agree, I was one of those BMW drivers in 20" summer tyres that got stuck in snow the year before I fitted the winters :D. I couldn't even get the car up a small hill so had to abandon the car for the week. I'm going to be putting the winters back on the car this weekend.

Keep telling myself I'm not a Lego collector but after buying my first set in Feb I'm now 10 sets and a grand in.

Batman was just for free delivery. I've only bought cars up until now, but couldn't say no to this at the price it was, should be a decent investment.

Should let the 4090 stretch it's legs a little bit more :D
Great choice. In benchmarks it’s only a few fps behind the 13900s so a bargain at the price they are shifting them more. Makes you long for nvidia and max to have proper competition again.

cpus seem to be now miles faster than a few years ago for half the money, maybe a third if adjusted for inflation. If we still had $2.4 to the pound, they would be low hundreds to buy

Released today, another flight stick for MS Flight Simulator for when I don't feel like setting up the Honeycomb stuff.

IF22A! I have that and it's immense for long distance illumination, don't shine it in your eyes though else you'll feel physical pain for 30 minutes from just a split second of exposure. The SP33 and SC21 are also immense

Gots me a donut.

I can order a single toothpick from ***elsewhere*** and it'll be insanely well packaged, but order an AIO and...

Still, it was cheaper than the usual suspects and all brand new, so it's no biggie :)
After the 4090, 5800X3D and this, it's time to let the debit card cool off a bit
Bring on the Callisto Protocol :D

Swapping cases. RGB didn't do it for me so going back to black stealth build.

All the Chromaxs. No prizes for guessing the case.

Forgot to post this in here, the two cases on the left are new, cheap Silverstone ones housing my vSphere lab. The room gets warm but no concerns with temps or stability. I really ought to fix the rear wall but meh, can't see it 99% of the time. This is the inside:

Pair of Xeon W-1290 10 core CPUs in each, 128GB of RAM and 3x NVMe drives, plus dual port 10 Gb NIC. Been running for a few weeks and no issues at all and very, very little noise (my 10 Gb switch makes more!). I pulled the CPUs out of Dell 3440 workstations, where I was getting stability issues due to the heat, so found some second hand boards on eBay, bought a pair of cases and used some other cheap 2nd hand parts or bits I had laying around.

Also, just noticed the HSF text is upside down, that's going to trigger some people.

Not saying its wrong but trying to understand fan placement. The one in the bottom blowing to the gpu, is that not countering the gpu fan blowing down? Wouldn't the top fan be best to pull air from the air cooler alone and out the back?
