Images of items I have purchased (except trainers [no feet pics])

It is, two of the newer bulbs and the newer gen Dot - Here
So I bought this and it came today, one of the bulbs was DOA. Amazon book deals as two separate transactions so said they'd refund the bulbs but they were listed at 20 quid in the system. Some discussion (the opposite @norm would be familiar with) and they've refunded everything. So 1 free Echo Dot and 1 free bulb :D result.

I had one of my 806 lumen bulbs break the other week as well and they refunded the whole order and let me keep the other bulb. So I'm now whole again and have a free dot.

Rewarded them by wasting 25 quid on 2 more hue switches lol.

Nice. I do try to not order from Amazon if I can help it, but they are very good with refunds. I've ended up with a few free items due to them just not bothering to ask me to return or exchange something with a minor issue.

Any good? Looking at the hydro flask one but not sure if i should take the leap.

People can now see me on Teams meetings, poor sods.

Microsoft Modern Webcam. Feature wise it's spot on with the Microsoft accessory centre offering lots of tweaks. Has a nice magnetic privacy cover that is very satisfying to move.

I noticed today on mine I can just tap the map to make it 'full screen' does yours not do that?
Figured it all out now, so for my stereo, because the screen is 7.7" with a res of 1024x600, the tapping of the icon in the taskbar to make it fullscreen doesn't work due to the reactive nature of Android Auto. It uses a display mode that best works with the screen res and size, which is as you see below:

To swap between apps just tap the icon along the bottom taskbar. If I want split screen apps then I have to change the Display Size option in the Android Auto interface app that does the translating for the wireless connection, which is the default mode that i showed a pic of before, again no maximise option when tapping the icon but you can flick between larger split and smaller split between two apps - this is more geared toward screens that are 10" or wide. My stereo is a bit of a middle ground so falls into a grey area lol.

I like the above though, no need for split screen, can quickly flick between apps and text is legible in motion so all good.

Just thought I'd share for those who also have Android stereos and might be in a similar situation!

Filled up with 80°C water at 07:30 this morning, checked at 11:30 and it was at 68.7°C and finally at 15:30 and it was at 56.7°C

It's a keeper for me.

Cool cool. I’m planning on using it for hill walking/fishing. I’ve seen people out and about launching all sorts into food flasks. Will wait and see if Santa brings me one first.

Should be perfect for that and will work the same with chilled food.

I was going to use for work, mountain biking and trips out on the kayak.

How do you rate these units? I've got a 2017-era Kenwood double-DIN unit in my Alphard, but it has a lousy resistive touch-screen and the android auto interface is really unreliable, I'd really like to replace it with something decent.

This one is my AVIN and is the PX6 with upgraded DSP. The performance is like a modern tablet really and sound quality is superb.

AVIN do various versions for multiple car makes too so worth checking their website.

It's running Android 11 by the way with the latest update installed.

The Android Auto seems to connect within 10 seconds too.

No complaints!

Does it tether to your phone for internet?

Yes I have a system routine set up so when bluetooth connects to the android auto dongle, it turns on hotspot on my phone and the stereo then connects automatically to the hotspot so everything just works:

There are apps like Tasker that can do similar thingsa but they do require a bit of faff to get them set up last I tried on a non Samsung phone. Samsung Routines makes it super easy. I'm sure Google will bake it into stock Android in a couple years time :D

Edit*

Car insurance renewal came through on xmas day, as expected over £100 more expensive than last year.

Did a GoCompare:

Noice.
