Be super careful. Had a 100ft one collapse in on itself once due to cable snapping. Pics on request :D

I've gone back to the original supplier of the winch and ordered exactly the same cable that I bought when I got the winch. I did find other suppliers of something that looked similar but couldn't be absolutely 100% sure I was getting the right thing.

Yeah fair play. Take tonnes of photos. I think the root cause of our mast cable snapping was it was routed wrong, got snagged and then got put under too much load. I'm sure you know this but it's just one area I made a distinct error and don't want to repeat :cry:
 
Oh yes, I’m going to be careful. As I’m replacing the aerial this year, I’ll lower the mast first, take the existing aerial off and then replace the winch cable and raise it with no load on first to test everything.

Yeah so this silvery colour sounds awesome hence the like but I've never had this happen, so my parking planks shown here are just outdoor timber and they will stay this colour, the paint is faded as a bush was just removed ,I agree it ends up looking shabby after,well 9 years but I like blue as the house is appropriately Cornish cream coloured, so paint on my shopping list

Decided to treat my self to a laptop replacement. Been running a HP envy 13inch sinch 2016 and its beginning to show its age, and on its 3rd battery. Light, portable and thin is a must but anything decent seemed to be well over a grand for windows based so i went full rogue and got a Galaxy tab s8+. I already have a galaxy phone and TV so wasnt too concerned at switching from windows and with Samsungs DEX mode if feels like a laptop anyway. Really pleased with it and the oled screen is just stunning.

Having done that, I'll probably never actually use it again so I wonder where the best place to sell it is. I don't fancy eBay for this.
