With me taking on the flat to myself this week and therefore re-assessing room usage... I've finally pulled the trigger on a standing desk -

Excellent choice. I love mine so much it came to Spain with me for 3 months!

This sounds significant enough that you would surely bother providing a link?

I keep bees and have spoken to some of the people running the surveys at the moment, findings aren't published yet for the most recent UK round afaik however:
Ireland study published this year: https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2023/01/230117110456.htm
And US study from 2019:

I did not know this. I'll be stocking up then.

This and weedol / verdone are my go to for non lawn / lawn weed killing respectively.

Love the ire from the environmentalists above, they're always fun people; clearly with too much time on their hands though.
These environmentalists probably don't have a proper garden anyway, so are not exactly helping out anyway.

I still have litres of the stuff, it works well when required at the stated doses. But always ensure you only get it on targeted weeds you want to kill, a syringe or small hand sprayer works wonders.

Just keep it away from your lovely wildflower meadow.

A bargain 8 night cruise, balcony room to Fiji in July

Fiji should be ace!!! Would love to go there.

The problem with a long journey at sea generally goes like:

Him: Hey Hun, come see this amazing view.
Her: Wow, what can you see?
Him: Look at the sea, the endless sea of nothingness.

*repeat daily, looking out at the nothingness of the ocean, whilst trapped on a boat :p

It's only an issue if you keep multiple games installed of this sort of size. I tend to complete one game, then uninstall it. Mostly out of the sheer disgust after discovering how much crap most games clutter your drive up with. Background launchers, game data files not only in your user docs Saved Games folder, but also multiple other locations inc the root of your user docs library, AppData folder, Local folder, Roaming folder, Program Files.... The registry!

I've now refunded Far Cry 6, it ended up being too annoying for these and other reasons. Even though it's Steam, it will stealth install Ubisoft launcher and that runs in the background

I really should take advantage of steam refunds more often. I often buy games and go an hour so before getting bored and think I’ll come back to it later and enjoy it, but it rarely happens. It’s just the same when I try again.

It's a fully automated feature of Steam, and refund comes through within an hour or so I find!

Officially 2, but some have played for more and still got a refund, usually the obviously bugged games that have big issues at launch lol. So basically most new games these days sadly.

There some research that suggests honeybees are picking up glyphosate from water droplets on sprayed plants - its been found in quite a lot of honey samples over the UK apparently :(

Weirdly just before reading this post I had something in my Facebook feed, didn't read it, about honey producers having to dump a lot of honey because of the bees picking up stuff from commercial food production turning the honey blues and green colours, etc. and containing unsafe levels of chemicals.

Well, duh.. Far Cry is a Ubisoft game so as all other games that has their own launchers, like Mass Effect or Red Dead Redemption 2, if bought through Steam they still going to launch their own game launchers EA or Rockstar.. Thought you would know that by now ??

I know other games do, that's why I avoid them on Steam for that very reason. I didn't expect FC6 to though given it's old now and at £12... Either way the game is yawn so no experience lost. Cyberpunk/Witcher 3 next gen are exceptions because you can completely disable RED launcher and then uninstall it. Everything else can hit the sidewalk far as I am concerned. For me Steam games are for launching via Steam only.
