I assume you supported your local shops and bought it from there given how they are all struggling where you are?
Well, Cien is Lidl so perhaps not.

I know what you mean. The dongle isn't essential. It will obviously connect over bluetooth. But in the case of Poly the dongle adds the following:It's a shame we still need those god awful dongles in 2023. My jabra evolve2 behaves odd with windows 11 over Bluetooth (mic mute button now mutes audio and tbc whether it mutes mic...). Apparently the jabra dongle fixes this but feels so wrong.
I'm actually in the market to replace my Plantronics Backbeat 2s because the range isn't sufficient to get me to the toilet, fridge, garden etc. So totally agree range is a weird priority that if you don't have, becomes annoying in the weirdest ways.I know what you mean. The dongle isn't essential. It will obviously connect over bluetooth. But in the case of Poly the dongle adds the following:
* Higher bandwidth so better range (these only have a range of about 30m but my Voyager Focus 2's have 100m on the same model dongle - I can walk down the end of my garden with the laptop inside the house and still be on a call).
* Better integration with Teams and Zoom so the headset/earbud controls also control Teams (muting on the headset will also mute Teams status, etc).
* A status light on the adapter for when in calls, etc.
The last two are no big deal. But the improved range is nice to have. I also like the ability to put the dongle in any device and not having to re-pair the headset. E.g. take it out of my work laptop and put it in my personal laptop. Or leave the dongle in my docking station and any laptop (I have several) that I plug into the docking station automatically gets access to the headset without needing to pair it.
Will try it for a few days and then report back.I'm actually in the market to replace my Plantronics Backbeat 2s because the range isn't sufficient to get me to the toilet, fridge, garden etc. So totally agree range is a weird priority that if you don't have, becomes annoying in the weirdest ways.
I haven't actually tried the Jabra dongle but there is no reason why I can't plug it into my KVM.......hmmm, will give that a test tomorrow! At least then I can use the mute button at home.
Let me know how you get on with the mic; I rarely use my 75ts for anything other than music because the mic is just impossible for quality conversations with people (they don't moan, but I know how frustrating it is to have to listen to folk with mics less quality than a proper boom setup).

Ah interesting, I didn't realise some dongles need USB3. You are right, my KVM is USB 2 because otherwise there isn't enough bandwidth for USB-DP.Will try it for a few days and then report back.
Some KVM's only have USB2. It might be worth trying the dongle directly in the computer first. Then try it in the KVM if it's successful at extending the range.
