Let me know how you get on with the mic; I rarely use my 75ts for anything other than music because the mic is just impossible for quality conversations with people (they don't moan, but I know how frustrating it is to have to listen to folk with mics less quality than a proper boom setup).
Some feedback after using it in the office yesterday:
* Mic quality - This seemed fine. People on the other end said it was clear although had a slight hint of an echo and distance. They said it wasn't significantly worse than my previous headset. This was using the USB dongle to connect to my laptop. The office was quiet though, with few people sitting near me.
* Battery life - I used it for about an hour total commuting (listening to music) and probably around four hours on calls. Between calls I was putting the earbuds back in the case to charge. The battery indicator on the case showed around 50% (the indicator isn't precise - it's a graphic) and the buds fully charged (realistically the buds would have been a bit below full as I had used them on the way home).
* Range - I was disappointed with this. I was on a call (USB dongle in laptop) and went a few desks away to help someone. I could hear the call crystal clear but when I went off mute to talk I was apparently breaking up. The laptop wasn't in line of sight (thick pillar) but I was only a few desks away. I will have to test this more but that was disappointing compared to my other headsets.
* Comfort - This is a subjective thing. I think they will take a bit of getting used to. I prefer over the head style headsets and for music use Jabra Elite 75t's which are small round buds that just push straight in. The Poly Free 60's are more like Apple Pro's and hang out of the ear. They frequently felt loose and about to fall out. But when I checked them they were firmly in place and there was no risk of them coming out. It just felt like they were. This is probably just because I am used to a different style of earbud. Other people may not notice this.
* Music - They seemed fine. About the same as my Jabra's but with a fraction less base. However they were amazingly clear for both voice and music - superior to my Jabra's in clarity.
* ANC - Pretty weak compared to other headsets. It's there. Just. I don't tend to use it much on other headsets though.
* General impression - The controls on the earbuds are fiddly so I always used the case controls. Being able to mute and end calls on the case was very useful however. The case is quite large and I struggled to open it while holding a cup of coffee. So for casual on-the-go carrying these are less convenient. The case doesn't have a magnetic catch so I wonder whether the case hinges may become loose over time. Furthermore I worry about scratches on the screen. However the earbuds themselves are held in magnetically and whole case and the earbuds feel very high quality to touch, remove, use and put back in the case. It's hard to explain but they just feel solid (not heavy, but solid).
Overall I am not yet sure whether I will keep them. I really do like them. The only big concern so far has been distance when talking. I will need to test that more. But the bigger question is whether they are worth the money. They are quite expensive (I managed to get a good price on them). I don't think they are worth the high cost. They are good but not amazing, which is what I expect at this price point. If they were sub-£200 I would absolutely keep them. But I think for the price these are selling at I could get equally good earbuds (or just keep my Jabra's) and also a travel headset such as the Poly 5200 UC. That only has a single earphone but a much better mic. Or another solution is to buy another pair of Voyager Focus 2's and leave them at my daughters flat for when I do visit her. So I am undecided at this point, simply due to the price.
