An MX Master 3S for £1 :D

Annoyingly, the new devices from Logi use the Bolt receiver, which means all previous unifying devices won't work and need to keep using the old unifying receiver. The quiet click main buttons are really nice, nicer than I expected. Strangely the thumb rest button is now a loud clicky button whereas it was a quiet click on the non S, why Logitech why???

Unrelated post but I have a USB C hub that is connected to my charger, mouse, and keyboard. I plugged my phone into it (usually dock my laptop to it), and a cursor popped up on my phone screen and legit supported mouse and keyboard.

Living in the future.

Try Samsung Dex, plug a monitor in too and you'll have a whole PC experience.

Got to have something to change for the MX4.

New weight bench. Sold my flat one in the UK as i wanted an adjustable version. Really happy with it, feels solid and no play in the backrest. The optional leg press extension is really impressive too. Just need an adaptor to use 50mm plates on it.

I'm considering getting the 329M1RV so would appreciate you sharing your experience with it:

  • I'm particularly interested in brightness (it seems to be extremely bright). Can you use it in bright rooms without issues?
  • Second big thing is KVM functionality. Have you used it with multiple devices? Is it easy to switch between them or do you need to navigate the OSD in order to switch between devices?
  • Any big issues/gripes you have with it?
Thanks!
Hi,

Happy to share my experience with the monitor which I have now moved on and went for something smaller as the 32" was just too big.

  • Brightness, I genuinely didn't have an issue with it. It can be extremely bright however you can easily dial that back without issue.
  • HDR performance, not really the best it is HDR400 after all but I did pair it up with my PS5 and it was absolutely fine. It also had VRR capability so that was nice to have.
  • 4K 144hz picture was fantastic though, great sharpness and clarity out the box. Didn't really need to configure it.
  • Surprisingly good were the internal speakers, I thought they more than done the job.
  • KVM tended to work ok to the USB C device, I can't think of much of an issue with it at all for switching. However with two devices powered on, unless it was defaulting to the USBC device I would switch back manually.
  • If using PBP VRR would turn itself off, it doesn't automatically re-enable though which is annoying.
  • G Sync compatibility is a weird one with this monitor, it works but it isn't officially compatible. So you do have some black screen flashes while changing applications etc. Not a huge deal but could be annoying.
  • Ambiglow/light was pretty good, not as impressive as the HUE lightstrip but did a pretty decent job. It doesn't work perfectly with HDR however when in use where you end up with randomly flashing purple sections at times.
  • Last issue I suppose was the heat output from the monitor itself, it did expel a lot of heat, so it's certainly wasn't the most power efficient.
Hopefully that helps.

I did this with my S10 when I first got it, with a PS4 controller/logitech k400r keyboard and mouse, plugged it into my mates tv, blew his mind, then played cod mobile on it HUD'less and blew his mind again hahaha. Not bad for a £7 usb-c hub and a controller/keyboard-touchpad combo I already owned.

I also played COD mobile with a ps4 to S10 phone holder adapter whilst waiting hours in hospital waiting rooms with my earphones in, that was an amusing way to kill time ;) :D
