Images of items I have purchased (except trainers [no feet pics])

Not sure if it was microwave or the potato or the avocado I have with it. But doing it in the microwave for 5 minutes made it less tasty.

I'll try again Next time just in case it was the spud.

I do it like 180c for 20, and then blast it at max (mine goes to 210) for 25-30. Depends the thickness of your pork belly, 45mins for thinner ones and up to an hour for a thick one. Rub the spices at the meat at the bottom and not the skin, put salt on the skin in the day or 12hrs ahead of time and let the salt draw out as much moisture as possible before cooking.

I make a "container" out of tinfoil that wraps around the base to stop the meat exposed to the blunt of the heat but the skin takes.

Like this, I would press it tight but cooking will shrink the meat creating that gap.

I do a quick check at 40mins mark usually and then judge it from there.
Yea got it prepped etc ear;lier, so thanks for that. Mine has a "probe" I can stick into the meat then choose it how its done, but again, not sure how much I can trust it.

I suspect it will be “cooked” way before the skin is crispy. So I don’t think the probe adds anything, the key is to get the skin to be like that, when that happens, the rest of it is done.

[ 2 + 2 = combo microwave best of all worlds, lower power consumption AND you can warm the plates up you are eating your meal off - I find baked potatoes are excellent
BBC even had an article https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/news-trends/are-microwaves-new-air-fryers
air fryers were flying off the shelves with unprecedented speed .... two main causes were identified: the cost of living crisis and viral social media trends
So, if you use your microwave for 20 minutes per day for a year, it will set you back about £36.50 (10p per day for 20 minutes x 365 days). Whereas research by Utilita showed that a 1400W air fryer costs 1p per minute of use, costing twice as much – £73.

How do you do baked potatoes in the microwave? I can't imagine they'll be as good if done in oven or air fryer

Gonna do baked potato in air fryer later in the week after getting some pointers here :)

^^ combination microwave, great for jacket spuds,

In an attempt to steer the thread away from becoming entirely food based.... my first BF purchase, my Vivo-active 3 bit the dust hard when the strap failed playing sport.

Philips Gaming 329M1RV - 32inch 4k 144Hz VRR Monitor with Ambiglow. I had a Philips Hue setup on the back of the monitor for my PS5 and PC with the sync box etc having a high combined cost so moved the kit on along with my Alienware monitor and upgraded to a larger 4k capable monitor. Really impressed with it so far.

I'm considering getting the 329M1RV so would appreciate you sharing your experience with it:

  • I'm particularly interested in brightness (it seems to be extremely bright). Can you use it in bright rooms without issues?
  • Second big thing is KVM functionality. Have you used it with multiple devices? Is it easy to switch between them or do you need to navigate the OSD in order to switch between devices?
  • Any big issues/gripes you have with it?
Thanks!

I bought a fridge freezer and a dishwasher....

Plant fleece , apparently my Bannana plants can do -15 but it's recommended to mulch or fleece. £10 for 24 MTRS it's thin but you can scrunch to get thickness

It's a shame that every time I see a food bank on TV it's either really fat people or young ones in Nike's and a North Face jacket , cynical,me, how dare you

Nice. Is that on one of those weird 3 year contracts?
No. No contract. £250 now and 12 months of £20.25 for just the phone.

(The guy in the shop attached a 12 month contract, but told me to come back an hour later. He then cancelled the contract and I just pay for the phone)

Jesus. What a sad thing to see in the UK.
Don't believe all the hype. Whilst there are genuine food bank users, a lot of folk just go there because they have nothing better to do and its free. In that video alone you can spot a bunch of old people with trucks getting their moneys worth.

Food bank usage has increased exponentially with the increase of food banks, lol.

The video was so bad I couldn't make out much.
Its just as sad that people have nothing better to do really!

I lived a few yards from the Karen Mathews estate so maybe I have just seen so many people taking the absolute ****
Great for the genuine people who have slipped through the net though
