Partly for washing windows, but partly because I need to get up and seal around the window and wall of that top floor. 5m is pretty damn long though, that might be more a specialist thing, certainly more expensive, or a multi part/platform thing, I'm not an expert!
The one I got is rated for 150kg, (assuming the angle is pitched correctly) but I weigh about 100, so me plus lugging stuff up it is kinda close to maximum capacity.
If it's just for cleaning windows, you might be better off with a really long jet wash wand type thing or something?

Just realised I bought a 5.2m ladder a while back.
